neat !!!! is that the offical "mark_oz board company" logo ??
and what's with the big scratch across the board ???
Sort of. I had a stencil for it so just squirted it on my loan boards to identify them, and thought now I'd make something of it.
Not a scratch, its a pinline of no deck grip 3mm wide there is a few radiating out from logo but only visible at some angles not others.
I did ding it already though............. only tiny bits.......
Hmmm thinking about sausage's one thats really good (I can't draw)
All finished :)
Not happy with the colour dye spraycan colour on the footpads, email sent to manufacturer. Funny how their 'guaranteed reply in 24hrs' has not eventuated when it is a complaint lol
Unsure about the orange over deck, bit 1970's vibe there, but it does not look so Norman Gunstan's cardigan colour in person
I did at times wonder why I was making a small board that I will use least, only at the peak of the season in 6mths time hahaha but looks like there might be a decent front next week so cross fingers.....
p
Overall, happy :)
Good effort Mark !!!
I can test it for you, I specialise in durability
No thanks Mike, perfectly aware you are hahaha. I'm hoping the forecast next week eventuates.
If how it is now actually happens, St G would be all time - day of the century - on 25kn SSW and 7m swell......
I'd be happy with an onshore B&J day strong enough to try out the new board though
And final weigh-in on the good scales today (mine are no good)
8.3kg with fins and straps.....and my 2017 104L RRD is 8.5 so very happy. Nice to know I have some wiggle room for extra reinforcements if I want, but this is pretty damn solid. Was worried fill n prime n paint would put it over but it didn't so

I hope it sails as good as it looks. Very impressive. Thanks for the blow by blow updates .
Very nice Mark, must've been great to get her going the first time !
Much different to other boards you have?
Probably not ideal conditions by the sound of it.
^^^ Its not lol - no wind
This is my board for 30kn in summer, it won't get out a lot...
Legit seabreeze this arvo though, very light and I saw a couple of people out getting some waves ....... getting excited.....
Nice job Takes quite a bit of knowledge to complete a project like that thru to thruision with a really good end result! Good work!
Awesome job Mark, that's a lot of work but it looks like it was all worth it - hope to see you out on the water this Summer and check out the board in person (before you break it...)
