Couple older pics from January 2007 but yes believe it or not these were both MEANT to be perfect planning gybes. Don't ask how they ended up like this. The first one was quite wierd because i was just leaning into it and all of a sudden the board took off. Wind must have caught it or somthing, the board was to big for the day as well. And the second image, well i really am stuffed on that one. Need to get out more and practice. This summer is goin to be good though, cant wait.

Just had a look thru my files and found these 2.

Sequence of my wife gybing at Coros, late last century. At the time there was a race between her and my brother in law to get a gybe in. Stitched this sequence together to prove to him, she'd won.

Me gybing off the back of a gearie's wave just before the buckets shore break, not sure if it's early this century, or late last century.

My first ever gybe was actually on the Mandurah estuary.
Hardie was standing on the beach and saw the whole thing.
He then left me on the estuary while he went and got some waves.
Yes you heard me right... Hardie bailed the estuary to wavesail. He was cool once
I didnt get outta the water until after dark.
Went back to hardies place and we were both happy little vegemites.
He got waves and I got gybes.

No matter how much I try, I always need to lean forward more and apply more mast foot pressure, and watch the nose of my board, and bend my knees more, and put my back hand out further....

Still, this is me gybing my 111 iSonic on a very isonicable day at Botany Bay last summer when it was windy enough to get planing on a 7.3....

Yeah i reckon it could have been. In the picture below i reckon u can just see the nose of your board in the bottom of the picture under mine. I panicked (spelling) a bit lol, not really sure what happened or what i was thinking. At least i've progessed a bit since then Looking forward to summer to practice and hopefully nail a few gybes too. Get out a bit more i hope.

Cheers
Bubs

Hey Bubs, you will be cranking out some impressive alphas in no time when you finally get a chance to sail the channel when it is good. I can't wait until i can stop wearing 2 wetties and a beanie under me helmet.
