Kato that welder.... I had one of those dinosaurs before it went on the foot path for council pickup day. It might be the heaviest welder I've ever owned. I'm sure it runs fine just don't ask me to carry it lol.
Mate shout yourself an inverter your back with be eternally grateful.

WA is windy in summer, VIC has Sandy Point, QLD has 25 degrees for most of the year.
I tried to move to Vic back in 2008... just before the GFC hit, and I could not find a job anywhere! No one was hiring at all... except the job I had just left back in Sydney.
Do you want another GFC? 
Completely out of context, but I just re-read what I wrote above last year..
since then I have moved to WA. Did I cause Coronavirus? I guess I did outdo the GFC this time.

My uncle had a welder like that but vertical with a nice windy thing to vary the amperage... haven't things come a long way with inverters.

. It is in what use to be our lounge room when we were building the real house. Has a nice big roller door in the side now
Ok, the trailer's finished for a friend and here's what I learnt from this one.
Fiber glass sheeting....don't use again.
More bars needed and it won't glue flat.
Crap to cut and it chips even with 60 tooth saw blades. Jig Saw is better but slow.
Composite panel's much better to work with and it gives a far nicer finish. Stickaflex caulking product is perfect for joints and gives a great finish when you can't do aluminium angle.
Use two pack epoxy paint for everything. Sticks really well
Pool noodles are still the best , cheapest way of padding the racks.
Make your own "Z" channels out of 2 pieces of EA for all the doors . Works really well and provides a good weather seal and drainage.
Never use Chinese u shackles with square axels. They will fail. Use 4 bolts and a plate set.
I've used fiberglass for cladding on houses.
Big tip is to over drill all the fixing penetrations. Fiberglass expands so it buckles if it's fixed too tight.
Funny... for a new build, that number plate looks awfully beat up ;-)
I was going to say we would never get away with that in NSW, but we would and some would argue its the better way to go.
Yes sir, its a 1959 trailer. Don't ask me, I didn't build it, it must have been the way they did 5x8 trailers back then...

can't say either way. the glass sheet i've used as cladding and balustrades would move about 6-10mm every 2.4m so if it's screwed tight it oil cans pretty badly.

Easier to move around with some numbers on the back, new plates next week
I built my own trailer after looking around at some second hand ones and realising that they were not really suited to windsurfing.
Filling in over the wheels makes a huge difference, even managed to make a bench on the right which is 770mm for a single airbed.
I went the pov route. Bought the cheapest trailer I could find and paid a local guy to fabricate a rack I sketched. Throw a tarp over it for longer stays
Trailer is also our general use trailer so the racks are removable and the windsurfing gear goes in the garage normally. This is our setup for camping or long trips where the weather is unpredictable.
I built this rack+box on my VW Transporter and left space to load a couple of pushys or sleep if travelling...
