Did anyone get a good deal?

I have a sail & mast and nick nacks coming. I find out tomoz if they are good.

This is what I took home sail, mast, and boom with np outhaul kit included all were brand new in original packaging for total of $1000 including lloyds taxes
(NB No mast extension)
I'm happy with that
That's a fairly good deal I think

So now the wanted part of the thread hahaha

I wasn't game to buy the boxes of assorted bits - but do need a few tendons.
Did anyone score some in the asstd bits boxes, and want to sell?

did anyone buy any boards?

i was interested in a couple but they already had $400 bids on them so was already too close to what i would pay, plus they needed lloyds tax on top

I was able to upgrade a couple of my krappy old masts for less than 50% rrp including the 22% charge. Adam got a mast, a boom, extensions and bases all for less than 50% rrp and fins for between 25% and 50% rrp. There were some good buys if you knew your prices and bid smart.

Adam and I p!ssed ourselves laughing when we saw someone who had sowed the seed of doubt earlier on this thread, down there on pickup day with a pile of loot to their name .................... well played sir!

not well played. just greed and self interest in action.

if it were a bank you'd be up in arms.

dissapointing that youre applauding this behaviour.

Looks like same bidder on most items. I bought a part I needed in the first auction, Naish foil base plate. There were 3 available, got it for $48, now others listed starting at $55. Maybe the first bidder is Lloyd's themselves.

@Gestalt, feel free to be as disappointed as you like. Anyone who got off their @rse and inspected the goods; or wasn't influenced by adverse comments posted on here and made their own informed decisions; was rewarded if they bid sensibly on something they needed

Yeah well played... it was an auction, use tactics or as others have posted, go have a look then you would have known condition and how much you're willing to pay rather than going in blind

A few of them disappeared from the original auction, back now. And some things that I bid on but missed out. Strange.

FYI. Stay away from the Hellcat sail. It's old and badly damaged although the opening pix is of a new model.

Hey guys I saw some were asking about pictures of boards purchased. I bought the 2016 Stubby 88. Apart from the normal wear and tear of a second hand board it just has a few black marks that I can't remove.

I was looking for a one board solution for QLD wavesailing for this summer and I think this fits perfectly. Can't wait to get out on it.

I am guessing he can't... he still needs to buy a set of fins for $250... unless of course he managed to grab them from the auction.

Actually checked shipping on a few items which all came out insane... a shipping a boom to WA was over $300. Good for local crew I guess... not so good for local QLD shops.

I didn't trust Lloyds shipping calculator when a mast was $200 sent with Australia Post, and $1600 courier.

Aus Post don't take anything longer than a metre (or is it 1.2m) so how can Lloyds even offer that option?

And the courier quote? Really $1600. They're clowns.

Anyway c'mon who got all the tendons?
