Is it just me or does 25knts look completely different on pictures than it does in real life?
When i'm at the beach/river and it's 25 knts there are whitecaps on nearly every peak. or am i underestimating the wind strength?
Just wondering?

Maybe the helicopter shot does that and also because on that shot they were racing outside the bay (no chop just large swell)
they also raced all afternoon, this pic might have been taken in the early races cause when I got there the bay was full of white caps

Xmas is ideal, all the locals are on the gold coast, and it's windy. Not wet (tropical) and ideally warm.

Re accomodation plenty of offers, maybe contact Drift, Wineman and Haircut here on the forum, they all stayed at different places along the beach.

I'm over at Xmas, staying in the same place that wineman was in, will have to look up the name.

How much are you paid by the New Cal Tourist Association ?

Whatever it is, it isn't enough.
