Yeah your right. These stats are about probability of greater than 15 kts, with the best months in order of probability as Nov, Oct, Jan, Feb. how does your reality compare with this. It's interesting that Dec is statistically not as good.
Compare the above with the same info for Brisbane airport on the same web page, except for Dec, New Cal has a higher probability of wind than Brisbane for the summer months.
But when compared to Perth, Perth is significantly better, with probability of +15 kts over 60% for Nov to March
