Fangy I think beer/ bbq is always better after getting that sailing thingo out of your system.
Plus it gives everybody something to talk about.
Thanks Pen. On the last forecast I looked at the breeze was going to kick in later in the arvo, so the order of proceedings may, in the end, be dictated by the weather rather than me
GUARANTEED TO BE NO WIND
See yas Sundy
After seeing the latest forecast, there is a part of me that will be awe struck if you manage to kill it Mineral...but then again I have seen you destroy my kit with just the touch of your paws.
The latest forecast has the wind verging on ballistic by late afternoon. I don't think it will be suitable for a BBQ/presentation by then. I will watch the forecasts, but at this stage I plan to do the trophy presentation around noon. Whether or not there is a BBQ will also depend on the conditions, but if it is too feral I might have to limit proceedings to simply the trophy presentation. Apologies to anyone if this messes up their plans.
Consider me awestruck. Mineral appears to have killed it. Of course things may change depending on what side of the bed he wakes up on tomorrow, but at this stage Sunday lunch time looks relatively mild. Perhaps the safest plan is to leave it up everyone else as whether or not you want to BBQ. If you do plan to chillax for a bit, bring some aeroguard as there may be some mossies about with the high tides of late. I will do the trophy whenever seems best after lunch.
Gives more time to sit around and bump the gums then
Best bit is it looks to be mild enough for me to test the knee to see if its sort of mending or needs more work.
Ok I think I've got it....
1/ 1200hrs it's all hail Stroppo
2/ Ballistic wind = no Franga Burgers
3/ Mineral = no wind
My head hurts but I think it's bring ya yappers not ya chompers, oh and a chair, that right
Congratulations to Stroppo on taking out the inaugural Flyin Fangy 5x10 Trophy today. It was an absolutely deserving win with a 40plus knot result.
Thanks to those at the BBQ/presentation especially people who travelled from afar and a very special thank you to Anita for the trophy. It really does look brilliant with the sun behind it.....sigh...I am going to miss it
