I have won T-shirts in competitions, shops have given me shirts as gifts and Starboard,Severne and Makani have sent T-shirts and my dad loves them.
Can you please, please print a few in kids sizes so I can wear a windsurfing T-shirt. I'm size 12 and my sister size 8,maybe a 14 and a 10 also so we can have a windsurfing T-shirt for next year as well.

An email was sent to each team captain requesting themn to forward onto team members to ascertain interest in ordering. Who's your captain Dav? Send me a PM with your email address.

Looks like you're in luck.
Have a look here.

Make sure you tell your Team captain where you got this when ordering. Also check the dimensions of the shirts against ones that fit you, some of the sizes may not be exactly what you think.

Just wanted to publicly apologise to Kazza for a comment that I made earlier in a post. Without knowing the exact artwork or the scale of the job these t-shirts have become I rashly said I thought that her costs were a bit steep. In fact I think considering the effort that is going into them the price is probably undervalued!! I, like Kazza, love this community and we will both work however we can to bring as good value to this job as is possible.
Hope everyone is happy with what we supply

Hi all. Have had a good chat to Sausage and Kazza about the tees and we thought it best to put a bit of information up about the process in regards to printing and costs.
For those that don't know anything about screen printing, each colour of the logo is printed individually. Each colour needs its own piece of filmwork and a seperate screen. The new GPSTC logo is 6 colours. When printing onto dark garments a 'flash' or base of white needs to go down first to make it possible for the colours in the print to stand out. This then makes the logo a 7 colour print.
The addition of the team names is proving to be a real headache. What it is doing is making each team an individual job as the team name is part of the black colour of the 6 in the logo(or white on dark garments as the print is reversed). This means that the setup costs for one team can be amortised (divided) across a greater number of tees if they are a big team. A smaller team is at a distinct disadvantage as their individual unit cost will be more as they will be ordering less tees. This would mean we may have to charge more for a smaller unit run for a small team than say for a bigger run of tees for a big team.
The opinion of Sausage, Kazza and myself is that we propose to drop the team name aspect and just do a bulk lot of generic tees. This makes the whole process a hell of a lot easier and streamlined. Whilst still not ideal we will still let people order specific colours of tees should they choose.

Can I ask if people are in agreeance to this?

Cheers

Yep, Team names are fantastic, but I guess the extra costs aren't justified.

I like the idea of having the team name on there and would personally pay a bit more to have it. just my 2 cents.

Me too. I think having the team name on there doubles the value of the shirt, so I'd happily pay more.
I think we should average out the costs over all shirts so small teams are not disadvantaged.

The main benefit of wearing the shirt for me, is not only to promote the GPSTC but the team. Many of my team members haven't even met (I haven't even met all of them) and the shirt with team name would be the easiest way of recognising each other.

Let me know when you come to a final decision regarding design and cost and I will try to get as many of the team as possible to order one (especially if it has the team name on it).

I would also rather see the team name on the t-shirt, even
if it is going to cost a bit more.
Fairest way would be to spread the cost equally so that everyone
pays the same.

Have you guys thought of asking the gps brand (locsys ?) to sponsor your tee shirts ? like a logo on a sleeve ?
after all you probably have one or two units per member, they should be interested.

this could pay for the team names...

That's how I ordered mine, no team name. Having organised a few times team t-shirts and talking to the print doers, I have a bit of an idea of the process and it's not that simple

The other thing is giving us punters shirt colour choice, again that complicates things, give us one or maybe two choices, who really cares

We can all come up with some great ideas but someone's got to do it, it just becomes a pain in the A for those who are kind enough to help out, just keep it simple, we're not strutting down the catwalks of Milan, we're just hanging out at water holes with our mates

Perhaps sick-em, we need a better idea of just how much extra the team names will cost, if averaged out over the teams, (I agree that's fairer than charging separate costs).
Trouble is some of my team have already paid, it's getting a bit late for us to change course now.

If it's only another $3.00 or so for team names, perhaps we should consider waiving the GTC profit.
The GTC doesn't need the money at the moment, and team names seem important to most people.

Firstly Sean for PM.
Second, I don't mind paying the bit extra for your team name as its kinda special to belong to such a family club as the GPSTC.
To be realistic I think we have to see what Rexy, Sausage and kazza see what is feasible and more practical.
We have a big team but feel for the smaller teams.

Having team names on the GPSTC is a fantastic idea, but as highlighted 5 colours is already quite labour intensive so it would really complicate the process with over 60 individual teams . Lets not make it too difficult for the generous people who are organizing these.Perhaps teams can make their own t-shirts.The logisys sponsorship idea is worth persueing but it would take some time to organize .

It's actually a 6 colour job or 7 if printing onto a dark garment. Thankfully there are only 26 Australian teams as we are only producing for them, not the whole International mob.
I think Kazza is going to produce her tees for teams that have already paid WITH the team names. That is her call and please understand that she runs the risk of not possibly making any money at all if she does that for a team with small numbers.
The teams I am doing, well I really have to wait until I get an indication of teams wanting tees (as not everyone has responded) and also the amount per team before I can give a proper price. It's fine if you all want the team name but I can't average the costs out until I know the total job order.
Hopefully orders can come in to me soon and I can get things sorted sooner rather than later. Sausage emailed all the team captains so it is up to them to get numbers and an email off to me so we can get the ball rolling.
I hope everyone understands and is cool with that

Ok so Tassie & WA teams (which I'll be printing) I'll be sticking with my prices and having the team names as this is what I quoted and I've started invoicing teams and also most of the Tassie crew have paid. I have less team names to print so I'm more then happy to keep the names, I think Andrew will have the same amount of tees but a lot more different team names which means a lot more extra work and mucking around for him. So sailors get your orders & payments in I'm getting excited about printing them & handing them out.

Hi all....again.....
Can all team captains from the teams I am printing for (NSW, QLD, VIC and SA) who want tee shirts for their members please email me at andrew@wickedpromotionalproducts.com.au with their orders.
In the email please include what team you are from, a list of who wants what size, what colour and whether it be short or long sleeve. Please also include some contact details so I can be back in touch once they are printed and we can work out where to send them.
For Cockroaches, please email me directly as Sam (our captain) at WSS is just too flat out and I don't mind at all collating our order.
I'm aiming for a shut off date for orders to be in 1 weeks time, so Friday the 16th August. Once I can then add up the total amount, I can then average out the setup costs so we all end up paying the same amount. I think it seems like most people want the team names so we will be going with that idea again now. I hope I can offer the same price as Kazza is but as she mentioned, my job lot has a LOT more teams involved and that may increase things slightly.
Snags once I know who wants what I'll shoot you another email with the list of team names I will need your mate to put in the file.

Cheers

Sounds like you guys have already done all the hard work but here's an idea for individual clubs. You can setup a shop at cafepress.com.au and design anything from t-shirts to mugs and have the made and shipped directly to your customers, There is zero cost to set it up and no need to carry stock. I setup a shop when I started a website for the Canberra windsurfers club and after a quick google found that it's still alive. Here's the link to give you an idea of what you can do.

cafepress.com/canberrawindsurfersclub

And some I created earlier..

Just reminding people from VIC, SA, QLD and NSW teams to get their orders for tees into their team captains by Friday this week please. It's been very quiet out there with orders so maybe not as many people want them as we thought......
Also a reminder to any members from the Cockroaches to email me directly with their orders at andrew@wickedpromotionalproducts.com.au
On a good news note, I am able to use a new direct to garment machine for my printing which will mean I can now easily do the team names, no matter how big or small the team, and it will all be the same price. So, what that means is I am happy to go with Kazza's price already quoted of $23.00ea for short sleeve, $24.00ea for long sleeve plus postage/freight when and if applicable. That will be charged accordingly.
I hope everyone is happy with that.

And I know it's a bit late now.
But WA orders close Tomorrow!!! (Wednesday), so if you haven't completed your order do it quick.

An order with no size specified is going to be ignored, Karen can't play guessing games to that extent.
At the moment Fudge and CJ from Perth Southsiders are in this situation, if anybody can contact them, please do.

I've suggested that no colour specified will be assumed white and no style specified be assumed short sleeve.
