Another video. Some of the most enjoyable sails I had were lightwind cruises in 10-15kts..
Here's a short complilation.
Sorry Tim! Tim put a bigger sail on the next day and was flying!

A short video mostly taken with my drone at LG, unfortunately no video of actual sailing. I am new to drone flying and not yet confident enough over water whilst windy. Maybe next year?

Anyway will bring back some happy memories of all those who sailed there this season.
Also some footage of Kato being interviewed by Win TV at Inverloch after setting a new world 24 hr record
And a few seconds of Sandy Point.

Its uploaded in 1080p so view in fullscreen

Thankyou Andrew, what great work with the drone, people can really see how good the lake was, so looking forward to going back next year.

Here's the edit from the drone footage Gary Warren filmed on Tuesday, around midday just as the wind was filling in, Gary thank you so much for doing this, it looks amazing with the colours and everything, what a great day!!! This place is awesome and well worth the drive

Just wondering if anyone from the Geelong area is heading to LG over the weekend? I've got a guy in Geelong that is interested in buying two outdoor chairs and a small table from me (Gumtree) and we are trying to work out freight options. He'll reward your efforts (taking furniture from Beachport back to Geelong) with a slab of beer. Would best suit someone with a van.

See... this thread is not all about tiny fast weed fins and sexy drone images...

I started early before it got too windy for the drone Anita, everyone else waiting on shore until the proper wind arrived. Which it did 30 mins later, so pretty lucky to get the drone footage without mishap

Keef thanks for twisting Gary's arm

Haha, nice one Sue. That was a light session, 10m should have been the go with the 36 Lessacher!

How ironic that you should go the 10m the next day and be fully powered.. and have to come in soon after to rig down....

The video came out so good Dezza! Great flying Gary, that flight seemed pretty on the edge. So low to the water and with strong wind, etc. That was a top day!

Aus06 sorry I didn't check this thread while I was still down there. After I left Lake George(on the 8th), I visited my son in Geelong for a few days. I probably would have driven back to Lake George if I had known there was beer involved.

Good bye LG, only a week here but I got a couple of nice sessions in weederville. It was great meeting lots of old and new faces from west east south and north Aus which just makes it so cool Also thanks to the LG Lord Mayor JB
