It's all a hoax...there's no way that's Elmo jibing, his arms aren't red and furry!

this is why I dont come to Hardies anymore .... my kookness and gybing style has rubbed off on you Elmo.

PS: with the amount of time your spending in the water, you need to invest in some rainex for your lens

Was great to meet you the other day Elmo! Nice vidz there, I especially like the music to the first one.

Lao my usual technique is front arm under, close eyes, throw sail vigorously, jump into opposite straps and hope the sail arrives in the right spot . Really fast gybes are a game of chance for me

Snake, try switching front hand to over, just before you gybe, It improved my gybes when I did that.

hey elmo where did you get the cam and how much did it cost? I am considering getting one, they look like they do a good job.

btw can you put a larger SD card in them for longer record times? I think its 1 hour with a 2gb SD card.. and they are only like $15 now.. so I was thinking of getting a 4 or 8GB sd card, just not sure if it would be compatible...

I put in a 8 GB card - and it works. Its a transcend HD SC

Don't know why you tube pixelated the hell out of it though

Try adding &fmt=18 to the end of the url.

I have Firefox scripted to bring up the high qual versions as standard (same as vids I post).
It's just the last 3 which I have loaded have been reduced and pixelated by Youtube quite severely, the first one at the top of the thread did not seem anywhere near as affected.

Mmmmm,
with the number of helmet cams out there now, I see a whole new web site being created. (Don't forget to attach it properly, there's already 1 GoPro hero at the bottom of the Indian Ocean)

I'd call it the Muppet show, but I think it might be taken

Great stuff Elmo.
Just wish we had those conditions, long runs, flat and shallow water and consistent wind that doesnt go from 5 to 30 knots in 5 metrer wide bands.
Just wait until Chris and I unleash our soon to be patented chop killer!!!!!!!

The fish eye lense covers a multitude of sins

Some of that chop is getting over 12" high on a really bad day out in the middle it can get to just over knee high

Good run til the fin let go, should have done what you did and taken the small board out of the bag, but was too tin fruited by then and would have probably bunged it, if I had.
See you next visit.

Don't knock the gaylord gloves, I very much appreciated them yesterday as I didn't hit the speed run till after I'd racked up 90km's already

Masturbation is no longer classed as S&M thanks to the gloves

Great videos Elmo, thanks for sharing those with us. For all of the crashes at least you could have been able to sail afterwards

Regarding clarity of the videos, Youtube have changed something.

Down the bottom right hand corner of the screen there is an arrow pointing up, click on that the select the HQ button from the list.

The vid should now come out in the same clarity it went in

Wonderful videos, Elmo. This view is what's missing from "The Windsurfing Movie", as good as it is. Have the directors approached you yet for their sequel?

Might have to change the G rating, however.

Elmo, those words you utter when the fin lets go, is that a muppet dialect??
I always thought it was "windsurfer speak", I do it all the time.
