Bar is bump and jump more than wave riding unless it's SW wind which cleans up waves for riding. Still fun spot to sail when the wind is up.
I would be careful, still alot of debris in channel. Heard a horror story about some tourists almost coming into grief with board/body piercing dead trees on northern end....
Will play on the outside for the time being, high tide only. Give it some time (season or two) and bar will move north. Clearing the remainder of vegetation from the old part of northern island.
Should get back to what it was in the eighties, flat water and wave heaven

Did the issue happen on the northern end of bribie or northern side of bar.
Not sure atm but may end up at happy's on Sunday. Won't be early.

No way would I sail along here! Lots of speeds bumps! Done 3 checks of the area. Way too much risk and if you stuff up - no one is near by to help.
I'm going to have another look at low tide. So far have been lucky by the sound of it.
