will see you all there mid morning to catch the high tide and hit up the eastern side of the bank.
WindWanderers sacrifice was successful. delivery of starboard start tomorrow.
useless bloody airlines. flight was delayed 45 minutes, so i ended up in ****house brisbane traffic, instead of being on the water at 4, i wasn't even home yet to get my gear
oh well, might take the morning off tomorrow and go for a sail.
i think that was one of those once a year days,.
bloody windy, 4.7 nice........
i saw first punching, hugs and big grins! something special must have happened.
Great Pics Justin. You guys must have had an awesome day. But's what's the matter with the water? Did the BCC open up that sewage outfall again?
first time for me at wello, really turned it on, normally don't get of redcliffe peninsula, unbelieveably flat comped to what i'm used to, shallow water was daunting at first, really enjoyed the east side, wasn't to fussed on the west - to much volume for the chop or maybe the legs had had enough by then
great day for some not so lucky for one.
a guy from the goldy(driving a white tray back ute parked midway along the car park facing to the west) came unstuck late afternoon and was taken to the redlands hospital with suspected cracked rib.
a big thanks should go out to mark (i think thats his name) for loading his gear into his van and especially to the couple of non sailors who called the ambos and drove his ute to the hospital
any injury sucks, but i really hope its not broken, just bruised, hope you recover quickly and get back on the water soon.
First time for me on the eastern side, what a great spot for speed runs
I think the guy injured was Brad as he was just going out about 4 oclock as i was leaving. By then the gusts were probably close to 35kn so hopefully he is ok
