does anyone remember the Rushwind video form the 90's filmed in the gorge where he jumps and gets the tip of the mast hit by the filming helicopter.... cant find on you tube. I have the vid on VHS. Care on the rocket airs.
Thanks to all who have registered so far. We ideally still need another 10 or so participants but final number crunching will occur in the next week. Spread the word to your mates esp ones not on Seabreeze. Looking for north side of bay, have a few potential locations depending on wind direction.
Hope you are all excited, I am :)
Ok I have made adjustments to my lens to cope with speedos and blue steel so all good there. ;) GP - can you fill out the online form so I have all your details? Cheers. A few more registrations and we're good to go, most peoples availability is for last weekend in March so pray to the wind gods :)
Guys we still need some more committed windsurfers if we are going to have this event occur. If you have not already registered please do so via the following link. I know the ones who have registered are super pumped up and can't wait for the experience and the photos afterwards.

Is it going to be on?
Any details?
i'd like to come down and watch
Might even take the boat out for a 'water veiw'
She's big nuff to handle the swell.
edit: Ho Lee Crap! There's no way I'll take a boat out in that!
Good luck to everyone going. It's gunna be AWESOME watching!
Might be a good idea to have a rescue craft if there's intermediates / beginners.
Will the helicopter pilot go in 30+ knot winds?
Stephen, what's happening? This weekend??? I am out for Sunday Saturday is my only sail day............
Would be good if it was on this weekend but last I heard there were not enough people who registered. One can hope though
Come on guy's! JUST DO IT!
As someone who had pics taken by Col at the Cervantes Speed trials, it was worth every penny.
Opportunities like this do not come around very often and are hard to organise.
I've seen Jodi's work, she takes great pics. Windsurfing shot from above looks awesome.
Hi guys, thank soo very much for your support and interest, I do regret to say we have decided to postpone and not go ahead this we :( (this is where I supply tissues). Although we have wind forecast I believe it is a little onshore for Elwood and a bit grey and drizzly and we want to showcase melb at its sunny best!
We are pretty ok with numbers but have no room to move, and with Vic sup, Vic wave and iwc events (plus a due baby) all this we, I am confident we will not get min numbers on the day.
Yes we def should have tried earlier in the year but there is a huge amount of planning and hurdle jumping involved. This is something I have wanted to do for a couple of years so believe me it's not dead in the water and it will happen. Infact I am already planning the nxt attempt and I can hint that the do over will happen later this year, possibly at a stunning location that will accommodate more sailors in skill and interest (so numbers won't b a problem). More news this will come plus confirmation on an exciting addition to the event!
Jodi :)
Thanks for all the effort you put in to try and get this event happening Jodi.
I agree, sunny 25 knot summer days is probably a better outcome.
