This should be compulsory reading for the RWNJs who like to claim bias at the ABC

www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/this-is-nuts-abc-s-tingle-laments-cost-of-obsession-with-balance-in-voice-debate-20231013-p5ebzk.html

Since it says "subscribers only", here are a couple of relevant paragraphs

Tingle observed the pursuit of strict balance was difficult when outlandish claims were made and subjects were not willing to be scrutinised."At the ABC, we have to fill in a form every time we do a story about the referendum that says 'here are the people we've spoken to, here are the number of minutes the Yes case has got, here are the number of minutes the No case has got'," she said, a reference to the internal ABC Voice Tracker.

Tingle said opposition Indigenous Australians spokeswoman Jacinta Nampijinpa Price had declined invitations to appear on 7.30 since July.

You can't refuse to appear and then complain that you're being ignored.

Yep trust the experts...
Where have I heard this recently before.
Didn't work out well for people that trusted the experts last time.

You're talking about the latest Nobel Prize winners right?

Hahah funny how the nobel prize winners didn't even invent MRNA Robert Malone invented MRNA. The noble prize winners just figured out a way to shut down the immune system to prevent our body's from destroying the MRNA delivery.
I don't think they deserve a Nobel Prize for shutting down people immune systems because our immune system don't just fight bacteria or virus infections, it destroys mutated cells and prevents cancer.
Now I wonder what could possibly be causing all these turbo cancers everywhere all of a sudden.
Doctors are baffled one again.

Baffled at your claim of "turbo cancer"?

What sort of cancer is it? Does it occur faster after exposure to a carcinogen? Does it grow faster than other cancers of the same classification? Are they completely brand new cancers never before seen in medicine? (Maybe a Nobel prize in it for a clever investigator?)

With your immune system shut down you have nothing to stop or slow the groth of cancer cells.
This leads to sudden late stage cancer.
Here is a post that explains it from Children's Health Defence.

How COVID Vaccines Can Lead to 'Turbo Cancers'

Oncologists are reporting an alarming rise in post-jab "turbo cancers," a term coined to describe incredibly rapid-growing cancers in people who have received one or more COVID-19 jabs.
Turbo cancers are showing up in young people, many under the age of 30, with no family history of cancer. They're also showing up in pregnant women and young children.
Most turbo cancers are Stage 3 or 4 by the time they're diagnosed, yet symptoms only arose days or weeks ago. They grow and spread so rapidly, that many patients die before treatment can even begin. Most turbo cancers are also resistant to conventional treatment.
There are several possible mechanisms of the COVID-19 shots that can lead to cancer in susceptible individuals. The primary one is the modification of the mRNA used. Pseudouridine was inserted to stabilize the RNA. The resulting protein can easily get misfolded, and protein misfolding is a hallmark of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and heart failure.
The pseudouridine insertion can also suppress your innate immune surveillance by dampening the activity of toll-like receptors, and reduced cancer surveillance is a downstream effect of that.

Interesting article on CHD you quoted.

They don't actually talk to an Oncologist (Dr Makis is not an oncologist)
They don't actually provide any statistics or evidence of increasing rates of any type of cancer.

The two case reports they include are of men in their 50s and 60s, no mention of anyone under 30.
One case report is of man already undergoing chemotherapy (so, you know his immune system was already trashed)

The other was a man misdiagnosed with bells palsy, when it was actually a tumor causing symptoms, who knows how long it had been growing before it caused physical symptoms.

If this turbo cancer thing was real, surely investigators like Makis, McCullough and Campbell would be able to provide actual evidence by now?
How many billion doses have been administered by now?
If what they claim is happening, surely our hospital and wider health system should completely swamped in cancer patients.

Yet this article has to drag in case reports that only barely tie in with their claims

"Five experts told Reuters that there is no evidence to suggest COVID-19 vaccines cause cancer, nor so-called "turbo cancer," but said a drop in screenings during the pandemic may have led to rise in cancers first detected at their later stages."

Well the voice sure as hell wasnt going to help. Far too overrepresented as it is. Encourage a move away from communities where they can own land. Kids can get jobs. Stop the handout and welfare culture. Its racist to say they can live in communities with no prospects, employment or land ownership. Put a bunch of white people out at finke and see how they would go. Its the 21st century

To be fair, it was a difficult ask. People's natural reaction to change is 'no' and in this case there was not enough detail to placate most people. Maybe they would have been better off locking in certain restrictions, so that the constitution change is locked to some other change to limit what any potential group can do?

Or they could have asked 'do you not want the following added to the constitution...'?

Then the 'no' responses would have worked

If you want to see a real change then vote No because The "Voice" will most likely just be the same people we have now who have failed to "close the gap" over the last 30 or 40 years. We need change we don't need to enshrine the failure in the constitution.

I have lived on the edge of a desert. I have seen the true nomadic bush people. They are not like us. They don't have the same expectations as us. I wonder if cannibalism and infanticide is still a thing... It's not "our" thing, but it is a part of the indigenous culture, so do we allow it to continue? ...

If you really do wonder if it's a thing, have you considered the reason that there would have been cannibalism and infanticide? It's not just a random thing where someone just decided to give it a try. It's extremely unlikely that anyone would have done either of these in 'modern times'.

In nomadic hunter and gatherer groups, food scarcity would be a problem from time to time. When you need to move, you move. If you can only feed 1 child, why try and support another just because one has just arrived? These are groups where resources are scarce at times.

Plenty of cultures around the world would have eaten their enemies after warfare, whether it was a spiritual belief or a use of available protein.

I would guess that these practices completely disappeared once aboriginals were dragged into settlement life and provided with other sources of food.

Did these practices happen? Probably, just like in other cultures around the world. Do they still exist? Not outside the mind of people that want to paint them as stone age people.

Dig deeper.

I saw a sign of hope today. A sign painted with the Aboriginal flag and a simple poem: Yes or no, we respect you so.

Mutual respect. A start.

Is that how these problems continue? A complex issue is discussed and instead of an insightful thought through response, someone somewhere gives a 2 word response and then sits back? Is the point valid? Is it rubbish? Who knows with a 2 word response.

I know I write a lot, but it's a pretty vague response to say 'dig deeper'. If you were a wise person that has studied aboriginals for decades and lived with them, I would still ask you to give more detail.

From the information I have seen in the last week, it would appear that infanticide and cannabilism has occurred in aborginal society, based on acccounts written about a long long time ago. The suggestion that it has happened or even happening is baseless and clearly fodder to somehow paint aboriginal people in a negative light.

Got some anecdotes that would show otherwise?

With the ACT voting a majority of 'yes', it makes you wonder why. This is a relatively small area, but filled with educated professionals.

They seem to be a very much a Labor voting majority, so what is it about them that makes them vote 'yes'? It's not like there would be many aboriginal people in the ACT.

I would suggest idealism.

NT voted heavily against the proposal, exposes rhe misinformation about 80% support from indigenous people.

I hear aboriginal flags to be flown at half mast for a week. Unbelievably tone deaf and a horrible and false message to send.

Australia rejected division and separatism and the left are framing it as a rejection of indigenous people. Disgusting.
