Do you think there really are people that want the NBN that voted Liberal? I doubt it

Of course, I voted liberal and in favor of the NBN. Labors plan was ridiculous, they had no track record of delivering anything thats why they were voted out of office. Not everyone needs broadband 100 times faster than it is now and if they do they should and can pay for it.

Lets not forget the person who was rolling it out - the Christian nutbag tried really hard to censor it and failed.

What a silly overstatement .The public hearings at the royal commission into institutional protection of paedophiles started today.Julia Gillard delivered. No one from the liberal party answered any of my emails regarding this matter.

An internet petition calling for the Coalition to scrap its plans to create a fibre-to-the-node network has had more than 110,000 signatures in just five days.

Its creator is a 20-year-old Liberal-voting Queensland business student.

"With Tony Abbott and the Liberal party getting in I think the majority of Australians are happy to have him in the government," Nick Paine said.

"I just felt as far as the National Broadband Network policy (is concerned), I think that was one area that didn't quite reflect the Australian attitude."

Really? I guess he is young and hasn't seen these cycles before, but to vote for someone and then expect them to change their mind after they got elected...

I guess he learned his lesson. Any party is not going to change its position, unless it thinks it has to, and straight after being elected, there's not that much pressure.
