I must say how funny was the last two pages. You guys must not have much to do. If you dont like kbm why the hell do you buy it? I personaly like females in bikinis and people having fun plus watching people kite hard. I myself do dangle around and admit that it is pretty easy and lame. But i are not jealous at the wake style rider cause he/she can do something that i cant.so yeah BLEED ON.

Hi,

Why buy a mag if all your going to do is whinge and complain about about it. Don't buy it if you don't like it. simple. Bill is a great person and rider, if you don't know him just be quiet and keep your oinions to yourself. a lot of people can't do wakestyle tricks but that doesn't mean mags can't showcase those riders that can. I say go KBM, you rock!

KBM - Kite Boarder Magazine???
Such a precious name for such a big waste of effort and paper.
Such low language. And what it is promoting?
Promiscuity, scandal, bad pictures, bad quality writing...
Few years ago when they started I hoped that they will grow up and get better quality, today, I will not open this bunched together pieces of paper even if they will pay me
The last one to open was last year and it gave me the feeling I am reading one of those Primary School Magazines, put together by the kids.
Sorry guys, you are a shame, I don't know who gives you the right to name your obscure paper the Kite Boarder Magazine
I don’t care about my spelling, so Azza, do not start with me now.

Silviu,

(blame kitergirl) as your second/third/fourth/ language, you do a better job at English than KBM had done... before I stopped spending my "hard-earned" on it.

To all,

(IMHO) KBM doesn't represent the people I've kited with, even the one's I've shared the occasional bender with (much thanks to all[}:)], you know who you are)

If KBM are in it to make money, I think they have clearly missed the demographic! So what's delivered isn't even a good business decision, let alone a good read.

There is more to the Australian Kiteboarder than what is represented in KBM, and I am very happy that I know it!

I fgn love this sport and the people I encounter as part of it. (Yes, even the bow-kiters... and, to a certain extent, the foil-kiters... why aren't there more DIY-kiters) I just hate the idea of them all being displayed to the general public as something they're clearly not.

Still... I guess it is one way to keep the beaches from becoming over-crowded.

Anyone up for a bear-bong

dont count on it - when the cool kids realise what can be done on a kite and a wakeboard they'll be chuffing bear bongs at your local launch faster than you can say "fully sick"

seriously azza if you're so anti KBM don't look at it. Dont waste your time go and buy quilt weaving monthly and needle point digest. There's heaps of sh!ght in the world the bothers me, half of them are on display on any given December to February 27 degree day at a Brighton or St Kilda beach near you.

Yeah dude lets hook in, connect up our retractable board leash, put on our impact vests, applicate our hemeroids, slip into our booties and plod back and forward pushing that extreme edge of the kiteboarding envelope.

My name is Skidsy and quoting a very wise man, I know Skidsy, "I'll do what I want!"

I'm not anti-KBM (Australian Kiteboarder) but I do speak my mind. I'd like to see a rag that's better representative of the title, and I have stopped buying it until I can see an improvement. I'd rather piss my money away, than throw it somewhere for someone else to piss away.

The July/August 05 issue of http://www.kitesurf-magazine.co.uk/ had more about AU than our local rag did... and it was a f'n good read too, so was the rest of it, pimping included.

BTW. I've met the wise sage, and I can say, "I know I know Skidsy". The phrase "I'll do what I want!" has an element of "gonna" about it... even rephrased as "I do what I want" it is still too flaccid.

"I am doing as I will" and, "I have done as I willed" are far the more satisfying statements.[}:)]

. "Put up, shut up, or shoot me!" is another favourite of mine. ;-) .

You are very wise ....Skidsy...
What can I say, we (do not) need more like you in this sport and this world.....

Nobody stops you "to do what you want", however nobody expects us to agree with all the stupidities displayed in KBM.

So go, change your nappies , finish your bottle and take your pacifier - that may calm you down.

simple solution. When the next issue comes out go to the newsagent, pick it up, flick through it (takes about 30 seconds), look for all the interesting stuff in it (takes about 10 seconds), put it down. walk away. less than a minute you have wasted when you should have been kiting.

That article on Balls takes the cake. What's with some of these spono kiters criticising other styles of Kiteboarding? Who cares if you "dangle" are into unhooked wakestyle, waves,or just like to cruise.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought kiteboarding was about having fun?

Yeah thanks Balls for telling me how i should kite. Cause when i grow up i want to kite just like you.

And thanks KBM for telling me what i sould be doing after the sun goes down, how much beer i should drink, which chicks are hot, and how i should dress. Whithout this info i would just go about things may own way and live my own boring life.

I'm currently putting together a readers wish list for Bill and I'll send him a list of things you guy's want to know, read and see in the next issue of KBM.
At a guess:
1. How do I get all my sandy kite gear in the boot of my Saab without leaving a mess.
2. When doing transitions how do you stop from getting sun in your eye's when the kite is sitting above your head.
3. Is it pronounced Sauv Blanc or Sav Blank.
4. Kitboarder boyfriend of the month. No way saying that there is the involvement of a Girlfriend.

add to the list:

5. Kite nutrition - metamucil, prune juice and other useful tips.
6. How about a feature on launches convenient to retirement villages.
7. Tips for improving stance - how can I bend my knees more to get my but sticking way out there, like all the cool riders at my local spot?
9. More info on the latest euro fashions like kitepants, drysuits and turtle neck sweaters.
10. Floppy hat review - please include flouro yellow hats, they are the favourite of many kiters around here.

Great work Bondo that will be enough content for about 5 issues of KBM.
We'll have to make sure that they also print an issue for the visually impaired as there seems to be a heap of w@nkers out there.

I think I liked KBM when it was just Boarder magazine.

That way the wakeboarding articles were interesting.
but then again I didn't have a clue about wakeboarding and didn't care.

I wonder if we are really venting our spleens at "KBM" or are we deep down in some freudian alcove of our subconcious, lamenting the fact that we need a mag that caters to our own desires, Styles, and ideas.
