Well we just got the latest issue in thshop and all work stopped while we watched the DVD, while I went crosseyed trying to read the mag at the same time.

In my opinion it just keeps getting better, and I always get a laugh out of those pics of kiting celebs, I think no 16 "hunter losing it" sorta sums it up for me.
Maybe some people are just taking life and kiting a bit too seriously, you need to get like hunter, get loose.

PS Hint to publisher/editor, some of the costly full page adds are very poorly laid out, pixellated, etc. I think that reflects poorly on the mag, more control over advertisers copy standards needed.

Steve i think you will find this is due to advertisers supplying thier own graphics which they do themselves thinking they will save money, and unfortunatly just end up with a sub standard product. I do agree that average artwork does bring down the standard, but it would be hard to knock back cash for an advert that looks a little average. JMO

I think they should have a pull out section on DICK (Delfin international championship kiteboarding). Including hot tips from DICK Round 1 winner Ringworm. Check the photo in the area amazingly called "Photos"

Azza / Skidsy, I am grateful that you see me in such high regard and that you want to publicly notify the world that you know me, however although I am a superhuman graceful and humble person, I would prefer that you do not squabble over me.

Agree 100% Ran, but I think KBM should apply minimum standards and change the artwork or send it back, its not that hard to increase the res is it?
Pixellation looks pox and makes me think my eyes have suddenly gone bung!

WHAT THE **** IS ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT LIKE IT WELL DONT ****ING BUY IT. The magazine is progressing with the sport, it has heaps of wakestyle and heaps of surfing. THAT IS HOW THE SPORT IS MOVING FORWARD. The youth is the future on the sport and that is how the ****ing youth ride(unless your just a ****). Sorry to say that but its so true. And for kiteworld how could u rather that. They have the same stuff as kiteboarder but the are HOOKED IN or doing some big jump. Pull ya ****in heads in and find something better to do than read a MAG THAT YA DONT EVEN LIKE. PS YOUS ARE A BUNCH OF **** AND I HOPE YOU ALL DIE.

Ral

I think you are right. But what's wrong with needing a magazine that caters for all?
It is so difficult to ask from a magazine, taking to itself to represent the AUSTRALIAN KITESURFERS, to be more proactive in issues like safety education, self rescue techniques and all other issues we are discussing? And what with a good Gear review... Do we need only Can Can?

And yes you smart, polite and well presented tannum_kiter, I hope you will live way longer than most of us, not to see this wicked, sick and however you want to name it, sport totally banned in Australia.

I really wish this sport to leap forward, with a new generation kites, and a new generation kiteboarders, but we really need a representative magazine to spread the word and to promote the sport!!

This is what we need desperately!! If you don't believe me, look what’s happen in Adelaide: bans on front beaches, kitesurfers are looked at like "hooligans". Is this what we want?
If we don't take attitude and action, this is what we will get!!!

So tannum_kiter, as I said before to your friend:
change your nappies , finish your bottle and take your pacifier - that may calm you down.

Open your eyes, you'll get a surprise, evil is sweeping
the nation, It's killing your sons and what merely stuns is
Your daughters are out for sensation
When they turn on their morals are gone
They don't really know what they're doing
It's a teenage malaise, a dangerous craze
Leading their bodies to ruin
Reefer madness has stolen all their souls
Reefer madness is right out of control
Evil reefer madness is a mind eating troll

nah dont do drugs. drugs are evil bad.

Ah, Reli words of wisdom again.

As far as KBM is concerned, it will live or die by it's creator....WGAFF (Who gives a flying...) where it is going, it is just a commodity..........speaking of commodities.....are wakeboarders coming to kiting because of the price of oil?

Wakeboarding is a much bigger sport I think.

Time to sell I think.....Wakeboarders or Oil?

finally people who think like me!!!! kiteboarder mag is ****!!!!
i only bought it once and hated it.
i think we could all band together and make a totally puff online mag together full of sweet boosts and hangtime, i love that ****, big directional massive kite and just send it.......sweet.
it shouldnt take long to do, just walk down the beach with the camera and we should have what we want in about 5mins, put it all together and bam thats it.
we just need a name, any suggestions? "kite high"? or "hooked" or "boosta"
man this will be fun maybe we can even sell to the overseas market, although we would be in direct compotition with the other euro mags. i guess we would just have to boost higher and get some sweet hangtime shots.

Ya got is assman!

Call it Boo or Boost, so close to our company Breast. Still going strong in Kalgoorli. Reli is so exhausted from filling the kiting pools that he is recovering in a bag in Northbridge...we need to come up with a better mag, right 5 min. online and it's done....not that easy, but nice to think about for me. Someone else will do it if the market wants it. And what this forum is saying is that the market WANTS IT.

Plenty of young talent out there. Our Perth crowd seems to be in to the movie stuff though...interesting that prob. the best part of KBM is the enclosed DVD................movies are the way to go.

There will always be a market for mags., but it is "rural" and kills trees. Mind you, I do like mags. and buy many because I spend many hours online and find it nice to have something to feel.........hahahaha.

alright!!!!! with that vote of confidence it starts now! we need some shots real quick, i will head down tommorow for 5 or 10 mins and grab some sick shots of the locals ripping and then i will get to work.
i think we will also need our own set of comps, just so we can get some nice action shots and a bit of exposure of how the sport really is. we will call it the "boosta kite klassic kompotion series" and i think mike walker has been showing alot of intrest in hosting and managing the comps so it should be a great series of events, mike has really been in our radar latley as the "next new thing" and we reckon hes probably got what it takes to win the series, but i guess only time will tell... well time and whether he can not get his pants stolen for at least 20mins.

Is he fat? We need to cater to the fat people that kite. Call it "Fat."

And the best thing about Breast is that is just sooooooo international. Did you know that our founder lives in a bag in Northbridge learning to speak every language in the world?

He is Breast, Reli is best...our leader, more wine sir?

Dingle dangle like [moderated]. Anyone driving a Saab, Renault, or Puegot can boost a bigjump all you need is wind. I'm a **** weekend hacker but I can kite jump 25ft whenever there's wind with a double back loop, I'm hot though. I haven't tried board offs yet but I haven't [moderated] If you want to unhook and move wake style you need a little more balls and commitment than half you girls could muster at a Vietnamese ping pong convention. Sorry that's an insult to half the women out there but get some reality.
Try it yourself one day and stop ya bitchin.
