Info on the 2014 REO
ozonekites.com/products/water-kites

"Power to size ratios have been refined and we now have more power per size. For example a rider enjoying the original 8m would now feel similarly powered on the new 7m."

Wind Range
SIZE KNOTS
5 22 - 35
6 21 - 35
7 20 - 35
8 19 - 34
9 17 - 32
10 14 - 28
12 12 - 26

Still dont understand why companies are trying to make the most powerful small kites, it would suck to have to ride a 6m every time the wind hits 25 knots

reasons
1 - less weight when travelling
2 - quicker turning
3 - have better return on investment (less material)
4- progressive kite design.
5- ........

It's just a number printed on the kite and doesn't relate to the amount of material castilljf but you can make a more powerful kite with less material just look at the amount of power you got out of the original wipica yet kites have progressed from that.

seen the wainman fly, havnt flown it but by the amount it jellyfishes, twists and stalls, i really dont want to. I've never seen a kite jellyfish that much, not even old old c-kites or the old waroo's did it that much!

yea agree with Ewan saw the kite in europe and it looked pretty bad in the air. maybe they should get Lou back in the company to make the kite fly decent..

Shiiittttttt!!! That's bad news guys. I know when it comes to C's, Ewan knows what its all about. Do you guys think the pilot(s) might have rigged it up wrong?

I'm hoping that the kite wasn't pumped up enough, or set up on the wrong setting making it back stall or something, for wainman's sake. Either way that's the opposite of what I was hoping to hear.

The edges if changed will only be minor tweaks, personally for my type of riding id like a return to a beefed up version

"The Edge stays the same due to the IKA ruling, we can only register next design March 1st and cit an only be used in a IKA ranking Race Event Sept 1st 2014(!)."

That's what Ozone Kites says on their facebook page.

The Catalyst has some minor tweaks and it will come in 4/6/8/10/12/14, so the same sizes as last year and not like the Reo which comes in 5/6/7/8/9/10/12.

Been testing out the new North Rebel & Dice 9m last few weeks.
put down a quick comparison in my blog www.leepasty.co.uk/blog
and also made a short vid from a session on both last sat at home here in Cornwall.

Hope to be back in Oz again soon.
Happy kiting

Yeh not sure hey. You need the nozzle part not a new pump per say.

My bro pumped the demo up without it, so don't think you need it. But why not, just a small bit of plastic that fits on the end of any pipe connection. Cheap.

New North Pump system

So do I need a new pump or an adaptor or dose last years pump fit? I've heard that the 2012 pumps(pink hose) work

looks like the sri lankan who was stitching fell asleep after a 24 hr shift

Does anyone know when Ozone may release the soft ends? Dont feel the need to get the new bar with the pushaway release if no soft bar ends!! Endless Dings to count!

No idea, but they are working on them. Probably not till late next year at the next model release. Upgrade of the chicken loop is easy, there is a video to help you do it, I did noe today in about 7mins, inside under the aircon, no need to unthread lines its all done at the bar.
