What about the raffle prizes how do we get tickets?

Can we start buying tickets for those now.

This is a great concept but to much emphasis is on the teams and not on making donations.

Really who cares who is paddling as long as you get donations and people down there to support.

You should be able to make some good coin with all the sponsors of gear getting behind this.

Every paddler is making a donation of $25 so the more people paddling the more money is raised for this cause.

Each paddler is donating both their time and money and I don't think we should forget that.

Here are the event tee's. These must be paid for on Saturday or sunday so we have exact numbers on how many we need to get printed.

The offical tee's will also have all sponsors logo's printed.

Cost will be
Paddlers $15.00
Non - Paddlers $25.00

If your not gonna be there on the day and would still like to buy a tee shirt, please pm either Jacko or Myself. So we can organise something for you.

I'm out of town so can't make it so I wanted to donate direct to the cause of the SUP community getting behind a QLD Natural disaster. If I donate to the bank account will she know that it has come from the SUP Community 24hr Paddle? or is it another random person.

I though the whole Idea was to make money as a paddling community for people who were effected by this disaster. I have already given both money & objects and now I want to give again.

I'm just trying to say that as a SUP paddling community we have a great opportunity here to step up and show other water sports or sports in general that if we can raise $$$ through paddling for 24hrs or raffling off Sponsors Goods any sport can do the same.

imagine raising $50,000 and rocking up to the premier with a cheque made out to her fund, we might get a little more respect in the line up.

I know me, Ang,Jamie and Justin have been making as many phone calls as we possibly can in 1 day. If we had it our way we'd ne raising 100 thousand but we cam only do what we can do. Jacko

Ok, the Red Team is nearly full with 2 spots left - if you want them let me know.

If you have not yet signed up for a relay team send me your details with your preferred time slots. With the SUPSA get together tomorrow night there may still be room for another team...

By the way you don't have to join a relay team if you just want to - just come down and have a paddle.

Quick update on things!!!

we are asking if you have a whistle could you bring it along, we have a few but we might run short. These are for the night time paddlers mainly also if you want to paddle at night and you have a lead lamp you might want to bring that as well just as a back up!!

More on the Auction and Raffel a little later!!!!! but WOW there is some good stuff!!!!

Hey Mate, Coates Hire have given us big Flood lights to keep all night paddlers lit up nice and bright. However we would like anyone wishing to paddle a night shift to bring a head lamp or flashing light to wear, if you can. I have got some from the cheap shop but i may not have one of everyone depending on numbers.
The Raffle prize pool is growing and growing by the hour.
Globe have just jumped on board and are about to drop off some skaties!
Soon as i get some free time i will post everything but i'm flat out LOL.
Got some local butchers giving us plently of snags & the tugun fruit market have been great.
It's funny as the big chains didn't even really want to listen to me but all the small operators loved it.

Ps, if anyone has any pull in either a bakery or supermarket can you please let me know. I still need Bottled water, soft drink, Bread, Bacon & Eggs.

As many of you know I have been busy putting together 2 relay teams for this cause. They are currently just being called Mikes Blue and Red Teams.

I want to publicly offer the naming and branding rights of these teams to corporate sponsors out there. The sponsors of these teams would need to donate enough $, with 100% going towards this cause.

Other than naming rights to the teams the sponsors would be able to "brand" the teams with whatever marketing material they would like to provide.

Its a public offer - so please put your offers publically on this forum. The highest offers will be accepted at 8pm this Friday night.

Ok, the Red team is now full.

To anyone who wants to join in on the spur of the moment - just come down and have a paddle. There are also a bunch of Burleigh surfers that will be paddling surfboards that are not in these teams. Everyone that I have spoken to has been really supportive. Its great to see this community spirit and it should be a great event.

Here is the final makeup of the Red team, so please make sure you know what your paddle allocations are.
