That's me at the end of the rainbow on my Nalu 10" carbon pro chilling stoked!
That slice of paradise wouldn't happen to be on the Nth East coast of NZ would it Greystoke?? Looks an awful lot like where I grew up as a kid!!
Indeed Emeboy, my home break just north of Tuts, you know the place...a lot more busier than when I use to surf it as a young fella. The day before was classic head high with only a handful .

Sure do... spent many a day between Ocean Beach and Oakura, but especially there.... left a few skids on the metal roads too! Been a long time since I have lived there but I do get back every now and then. A quiet head high day would have been awesome!!
Nice guys ..I got axed by some of these big mothers today ,but was sliding down the face on a few .it was bigger when you got out .. Thought my leg rope was going to brake once ....dragged me like a dag on a sheep.
Ah - ya don't know how lucky you are Tardy! What I'd give to get some decent juice and cop a proper hiding.
mate - that's goin off!!!
this is what I was greeted to Sunday morning. Was still sweet eh but definitely no solid 6 foot steamrollers!
Yes looks a little different ...and you would of got a good hiding ..I only just made it out before a huge set ..and had to head to sea ...

Sick!!! Good times man!!!
Town beach today.......two people out for first 2 hours. Surfed surrator while 2 people out. Then PSH 12'6 when long board people arrived. And surfed nalu 11'4 day before
Was talking to this little short boarder in beach car park. His board was 18 litres volume. Had been surfing a 16 litre board....but wanted to "go bigger"

Gravel road, bloody hell that was a while back...awesome memories though, got married there nearly 30 years ago then went surfing straight after on my in laws dungga shaped in Timaru now in a museum, lol...taught my kids to surf there now my grandies. Oakura is a awesome spot for SUP, it's where I go when it's bigger and closed out on the open coast, that place hasn't changed much. Pataua has really changed with new small subdivision. I've been away surfing the rest of NZ and parts of Queensland now back home for good.

Great shot of the boards Gizzie - lovin' that centre fin on the Nalu but cripes - how's the flowers on that magnolia!?!
Those magnolia flowers are nice mango.......kind of give me a "i must be in Hawaii " buzz.
Must confess was surfing knee to waist high waves in the rain today. But on the Nalu 11'4 so not all bad
Classic mate - at least you got waves man!!! I was stuck at work all day - no swell anyway with a nasty arvo Kona blowin.
I know the feelin for that Hawaiian vibe too eh!!!
Great photo Nozza! Geez, the Bay's lookin' good!!!
Is that some blue sky starting to show ??? Can almost see Arthur's Seat!!!
Starting to hope the weather has turned after Narnia winter.
This morning was brilliant, actually about 20 knot northerly blowing but had a magic paddle upwind and down.
Loving the OC1 - would have been nearly impossible stand up.
But the downwind ride back would have been better...
Back for an afternoon session.
Could not believe how the Bay calmed down from the morning.
Helmy and me on the sit downs, Alison stand up.
Dany with his drone.
Mark, Ann, and Devo on the beach.
Beers.
Great after work interlude.
@Kretinou - can you please tell me what type of camera you used to film that neat little video? Just got my first board, now to get all the gear
Taking my brand spanking new SUP for its maiden voyage at Bobbin Head in Ku-Ring-Gai National Park, Sydney. Waited a whole month for decent weather to christen her ??
