VW Transporter 4 motion long version if you can find one. I have a 2wd one and it's a great van, more room than the Hiace

I love your van m8, awesome conversion. You turned me onto those epic swivel chairs

I had a look at them but unfortunately they're too big for my garage. Toyota Hiace only just fits provided I don't put anything on the roof. But I want solar, so really leaning towards the Delica now. Plus Delica is 4x4

I'm just taking a break from browsing through past Japanese auction sales on this site prestigemotorsport.com.au/auctions/

Looks like I can import a car from Japan for about $2500 but I don't know what the cost is to get it Oz compliant & registered yet. If its no more than about $6k total it looks like the go.

Let's say you woke up with a terrible cough, a fever, and severe body aches. Immediately, you rush to the doctor and unfortunately, you're diagnosed with COVID-19. For the last two weeks, you've been unaware that you were infected and you've ignored "the rules." You've gotten together with some close friends for pizza, had a few people over, even visited a park and a beach. You figured, "I don't feel sick. I have the right to keep living my normal life. No one can tell me what to do."

With your diagnosis, you spend the next few days at home on the couch, feeling pretty crappy; but then you're well again because you're young, healthy and strong. Lucky you. But your best friend caught it from you during a visit to your house, and because she didn't know she was contagious, she visited her 82-year-old grandfather, who uses oxygen tanks daily to help him breathe because he has COPD and heart failure. Now, he's dead.

Your co-worker, who has asthma, caught it too, during your little pizza get-together. Now, he's in the ICU, and he's spread it to a few others in his family, too--but they won't know that for another couple of weeks yet.

The cashier at the restaurant where you picked up the pizza carried the infection home to his wife, who has MS, which makes her immunosuppressed. She's not as lucky as you, so she's admitted to the hospital because she's having trouble breathing. She may need to be placed in a medically-induced coma and intubated; she may not get to say goodbye to her loved ones. She may die surrounded by machines, with no family at her bedside.

All because you couldn't stand the inconvenience of a mask; of staying home; of changing your familiar routines for just a little while. Because you have the right, above all others rights, to continue living your normal life and no one, I mean no one, has the right to tell you what to do.

Money, power & control.

The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation lobby'ed the WHO to label Covid 19 a pandemic & to recommend countries lockdown. They are heavily invested in developing vaccines & human tracking technology. Having everyone begging for a vaccine they can sell to everyone across the world would provide a massive return on their investment. This is pretty much common knowledge & not a conspiracy. There are plenty of other in the same category, but the Gates foundation is at the forefront of how diversified their scope is in regard to current events.

The governments have gained a great deal of power & control over pretty much everyone worldwide. I don't need to really point that out other than to say "The New Normal" is unlikely to end when we see no new cases popping up in Oz & sudden future lockdowns are inevitable.

The sick & elderly remain under strict policies & procedures in Western Australia in an effort to eliminate their exposure to the virus. The above scenario would not have taken place if the same was done for those people at risk.

Thanks m8...but I have never said Covid 19, the virus itself is a hoax & I have more work than I want. I should be surfing NE Japan right now, but I'm in lockdown working my extended roster coz there is a virus killing about 0.25% of the people it infects, really deadly virus m8. Kills people with compromised immunity systems & severe health issues. A few people in Victoria got it the other week & had to take some time off coz they felt a bit crook. Big problem coz so many people that are at no risk of a severe reaction to the virus are out of work & the many faceted issues caused from that are really starting to cause far greater problems. Take care brother.

Had a nurse from the corona virus ward at work last week . Her exact words- she has in 30 years of nursing seen lots of deaths - but the coronavirus deaths are horrific - said she had been pschycologically damaged by the experience and was tearing up talking about it .

I really don't get the whole conspiracy theory - to me it's in the same level as the post Arthur massacre conspiracies .

I changed my field due to experiences like that. Watching people die of respiratory issues is always difficult....watching people die is difficult.

I imagine there would be an extra level of difficulty with Covid 19. Usually there would be family present, but they are not allowed to see their loved ones & you would be responsible for providing that bridge of communication & health updates. Its extremly hard.

Tasmania has had more than its share of deaths

Awesome song cover SP, but it opens up supporting closing beaches coz they think open beaches will see cases spike. Do you support closing beaches And do cases spiking equal increased fatalities or greater herd immunity

Lyrics also say, "To all of you conspiracy people, men & women do but numbers do not lie". <- This I agree with & protecting the at risk people while the rest of us increase herd immunity.

And this is what it really nails down to for many isn't it Cobra. Main stream media driven fear providing the advocation to lockdown everyone to protect the few (98.5 % Australian's recovered as of today). When the very few people could be protected & everyone else could go on living a healthy risk free life.

Considering young people are not at serious risk of this virus, what do you consider a fair time for them to wait for any semblance of normalcy? 2 months, 6 months, 2 years, 5 years, feel free to enter you own custom timeframe, but how long do you think healthy people likely to present asymptomatic should put their life on hold for a minority of people who have already lived most of theirs who could take extra personal measures to prevent their exposure to a virus killing about 0.25% of people infected

The chief medial officer advising the Oz Gov is suggesting until at least a vaccine is discovered. Considering Sars-covid still has no vaccine 17 years later. Do you think its ok to prevent Australia's younger generation living a full life until a vaccine is discovered

I think Ricardos post about sums it up mick.
its not about young people yes that's right, it's not M curve virus if it was About young people passing Would that make it different?
No it wouldn't, and wouldn't old people look like ****s if they didn't care.
Mick do you Ever stop for 1 second and think about our death toll and realise It's from hard work. Go look at Sweden's death toll and get back to me because I'm happy to shoot you down in flames about their 'let it flow' outcome.

best part is you're shooting your mouth off without NO outcome in site of the virus , sadly this could go a year. And to your Q about kid's quality of life after.
well my great grandparents lived full happy lives after the Spanish flu and Two world wars.

Thanks for your answer m8, although you havn't answered my question of how long do you think is ok to lockdown for

Like I said in response to Ricardo's post. The scenario could easily been avoided provided those at risk were taking extra precautions to avoid transmitting the virus to those at risk.

Would it make a difference if it affected young people, of course it would. Cobra the people who have died from Covid 19 could just as likely been effected by this seasons flu. They were elderly people with underlying health issues that exacerbated the effect of Covid 19.

Sweden's a small country with a high population surrounded by small countries with high populations. Better to compare stats with somewhere like Japan which is also an island country, but did not have government forced restrictions placed upon them. They also have a very low fatality rate. Arguably much better than Australia given their population of 126 million with 974 fatalities.

Your grandparents did not live through a world in lockdown. This is the first time in history we have quarantined the healthy. Your grandparents lived full happy lives after not being locked down.

I totally agree it will get to stage where it's wrong to quarantine the healthy.

I've booked a table for 10 at a pub in Byron this Sunday for a birthday....we all had the test a month ago.
There will definitely be an increase in cases here though.
The town is busy as Christmas time.
Heaps of buses from Sydney & flights into Ballina.

Try telling 20yr old backpackers
they shouldn't be bonking each other.
