That's an odd looking little thing. Gotta love the experimentation of the 70s.

Better than the cookie cutter boards and Surfing style of the late 80s and 90s.

Good to see things are swinging back to a wider variety of boards now.

Yep interesting - like the theory behind it ( extra volume under the surfer for floatation - less volume in the rails )
I could never get my head around the theory behind the spoons / scoop decks - the direct opposite to this ,which did become popular for a bit .

Though I would love to have a couple of spoons sitting in the garage - worth crazy money theses days

Tassie rode a spoon a while ago....what a dog.

I could imagine it being amazing on a long glassy wall, but nothing else

Also if people really want to see some far out board shapes and ideas they should check out Peter ware on Instagram....bloke blows my mind

Similar design concept to a fish a mate of ours has. Last time he was in Tassie he saw one in a pawn store but it was a bit too small for him. It really peaked his interest so after getting home he contacted the shaper to get one made up. Last time we caught up he said he hadn't had the opportunity to ride it much but in the few sessions he'd had there were definitely some moments of magic.

Yep have one scoop deck - great to look at but have only used it twice in 3 years .

Lucky enough to own a Peter Ware board few years back - sold it to a board collector up north - one that I should have kept .

another one to check out is Pete Berry from the 70 s - designs way out there
