Finally managed to grab an early surf in and it was really good ! ! ! Stoked. Couple of 4 foot bombs hitting the banks - if you were in the right place it was a joy - found myself in the right spot lots

2 fun surfs today - second one the conditions were not as great with a very light seabreeze but still super fun - the outgoing higher tide was producing much better banks than the low incoming this morning. Joy. Been a while since I have had two good surfs in a day. Feels great. Hoping for a glass off later - but think it will not happen.

Thought I'd missed out yesterday due to work, but today was the day. Head height fast down the line fun waves at the local with no more than 3 other guys. Was keen on a short board surf, so surfed the 6'2 drifter for the first hour then swapped to the 9'4 whalebone. Mate brought out a 5'11 firewire baked potato & we swapped boards for 1/2 an hour, that boards really fun surprising amount of glide through flat sections...absolutely stuffed after a 4.5hr session, only surf I'm getting this week, working all weekend. Looking good for next week with a better work roster

Was heaps better than expected today, although seems a lot of other people knew it was going to be good. So was crowded with about 15 people. Still got heaps though, but had one of those days. Board flipped doing a floater on the first wave & I scored an eggy on leggy. Then a few waves later I was flying down my wave of the day dodging lazy paddlers looking for a shoulder & one let his board go smack bang into my leg. Luckily it was an epoxy & I was able to keep going. Surprised me coz the guy should know better. Gonna need a couple ibuprofen, couple of pints of wine & a few beers. Friggin hurt'n now
