I'm at work but finishing in a few hours. Nice south swell here and good winds. Will be on it soon.

Surfed LM this morning with mac, was pretty good early with nice clean 2 - 2-1/2' sets, got busy as the morning went on with the wind getting into it a bit. I had the 10' whalebone working a treat after moving the fin forward 1/2", I'm really loving this board!!!

Mac got a couple of nice ones too but I reckon he's getting a bit fussy in his old age.

Whalebone vs hotlog...why the new hotlog Vanders? what do your like about your whalebone, and why the new hotlog?

Hotlog for those smaller or fatter days, easier earlier paddle on. In reality I probably don't need it but why let 'need' get in the way of want.

My 10' whalebone is very stable & great to paddle, now I'm running it as a single I'm finding it faster & strangely more agile, I'm not having any problems with rail to rail transitions even at 24-1/4" wide. It's got just the right amount of nose rocker with no issues even on steeper take offs & the chines just make it glide down the face with no thought of ever digging in a rail.

I reckon it's just a great all rounder & I'm sure you'll love yours mate!

I hate public holidays...went to lm after work and scored a few. Crowd was mental...on the walk back I heard a tourist say that it looked like ants on a piece of candy

Morning surf in front of home... 3ft onshore crud, nice to get wet is the only solace I can take from the surf
(Perhaps the wind will drop and a sneaky arvo wave can be had )

Ditto, imo next to being a removalist I reckon a painter would be the worst.

Nice! Day before yesterday I surf for 6 hours over two surfs in small waves but was just enjoying it. Yesterday I surf three times in again not so good conditions. Today I surfed once in the morning and about to go again soon. Also went for a kayak just then up a river

trying to get as much in as possible before going back to college next week which is inland 2 hours in the city! And good fitness!

My arms are so stiff, can hardly move, worth it though!

lefts and rights some just striaght down
just a steady 1-2ft, easy fun on the beach break
Forgive me I did sin...rode a shorty for most of it, started on a 9,1 mal and then went short as the tide dropped

All good, I have been loving the shorty lately. Most surfs I have been half half on shorty and mal!

Good fun!

I've been having heaps of fun on my McTavish Involvement this summer. Short surfs at Torquay, at my favorite little beachie reef...

Nearly sold this board twice, but offers were $200 short of what I thought the board was worth... Glad I stood firm, because I'm finally loving this board!

I'm never selling this one...

A beautiful looking board I must say! Wish I could afford boards like these!

back to normal here this morning with 2 foot of weak wind swell but the crowd factor was back to normal with 4 of us sharing the peak at first light. Love it when everyone has gone back to school n work! New board is going well - now just hoping for some swell to put it through its paces.
