Very fun morning! Best waves for a long long time. This sums it up from swellnet Did someone say it was time for a second surf already ?

Updated: Fri 7 February 6:28am
Surf: Clean 4-5ft ESE
Winds: Light SW
Weather: Overcast
Rating: 8/10
Finally some good waves! Swell is in the 4-5ft range from the ESE and a light SW wind is making it really clean. Some great looking waves all over the place and just a matter of picking the best bank/reef, the only thing not helping is the low tide with the odd bigger sets closing out pretty quick. An overcast day but best waves in a long time so time to get out there!

Waves were crazy good on the shorty at the first point...the crew I was with struggled so we made the decision to go elsewhere good for them, bad for me

Sounds like the whole coast is doing it today...

Fark it... I'm allowed to surf after 8 weeks but doctors orders are only under chest high.
Hope it drops a touch, was fairly solid here this morning

Slight chance surfing history was made at Manly this week with the PM and the Pres both in town . .

Good images SA....would get a Go Pro but would mount it facing foreward to record the dropins as the crowds are getting out of control....bloody surf schools and surf promo's..what happened to "alternative lifestyle" types..now everyone wants to be a surfie (sorry PM) and decorate their loungeroom corners with "THE BOARD" in the corner...

Same over here mate, plenty of swell marching North on the horizon. But it was barely breaking on the local.

Bali Bukit Eastside, new swell arriving throughout the day, still a bit lumpy but offshore until lunchtime. Few nice ones on lower tide and crowd ok.

Swell has picked up this morning and it was a lovely 3ft. Had a lovely peak to myself from first light for an hour then another bloke paddled out. Heaven. Was knackered after 90 mins of endless waves Went back for a second surf at 9am and there were a few more bodies but lots of waves for all.

I am calling the wave drought officially over now after racking up 9 surfs in the last 5 days. Long may it continue. New board is now dialled in. Hope you all getting some.

It was really nice to meet you today Macaha, you don't surf too bad for a reformed goat boater.

Lacey was smashing it today, couldn't get a wave from under him, he was just a machine!!!

Greeny was good, only a few but nice & clean, shoulder's fried now .

don't know about smashing, no, far from smashing it, but did feel a lot more comfortable.

location, location, location vanders

i saw a board from the long boarder formally known as 62 mac - a big guy on the orange and white ciggie packet board for those with a long memory- gee that board looked and surfed good, a real keeper

The way that board surfed today just reassured me I made the correct choice to part ways with it after one surf!

I sold it to Asea and I traded it later which worked for both Asea and I,helped fund our next boards.
