Shock horror with the wind direction the points were a no go zone, so I hit the beachie out the front first time in years. After a few waves I settled in and really enjoyed it for a couple of hours
macaha where do you call outfront as I saw a guy about 100mts away from me and it looked like you're color trademark on the board, come to think of it I was in you're sort of beach area earlier then went nth but as the tide filled so did the surf nil.You mean to say you were at a beachie.Shocked
An old surfing buddy made me go to the local beachie even though I said it was absolute crap. And it was. And so were we.
It was heaps of fun.

It was small but geez it was still fun....
What is it about surfing that just makes the world seem a better place...
, the BGB will get a run tomorrow.

What happened have you been out injured ?
You're right too SP . A good surf can work wonders.
Didnt think it was possible but its even flatter now. Went for a paddle on the 666 on the river instead.

Yesssss it really helps my back and its really good exercise. Id rather be surfing though
Sorry SMH... my big nooooo was referring to the flatter surf.....please not flatter..any smaller and it will be inverted...yep SUP is brilliant exercise, all paddling is
No worries but I'm wondering when or if we are going to get anything decent soon

Yeah, broke my collar bone and did a bit of shoulder damage.
And yeah you just don't feel quite right when you haven't been in the ocean for a while.

Had to pick the eyes out of what was on offer which certainly wasn't much, but did get one nice one at the end & shared it with one of the godfathers of the greenroom, geez it even felt good going left for a change.

The last 10 years whilst you were at LM
Pff since when have you surfed Mermaid
now you ask when I was at high school a, couple of the boys parents owned houses right on the beach at Mermaid, this 1 particular house was called the barracks because of all the double bunks the go was surf all day down to the Broady pubfor lunch back to the house check out late arvo surf then collect deadwood for the bonfire on the beach that night. We even rode the 125cc trail bikes on the beach back then, anyway party all night and drinking brandivino 99cents a bottle, then do it all again day after day, they were the days no leggies mostly single fins with a few twinnies.Oh when the sthlys kicked in we'd load up the ute with boards and people and head to Burleigh.Casn you image sitting on the side walls of a ute these days. They say the good old days.

I seriously doubt Ted would have gone out were it not for the fact that I had driven so far to get there, but in the end we had a break all to ourselves and we did score a few. Plus we got to have a bit of a fun swapping boards.
A pod of dolphins provided the best entertainment, they were just beside us throwing a fish about in the air, not just any little tiddler, this this was probably over 500mm long, way too big for them to swallow
