Looking like late next week for our next buzz Brother - keep your eye out on Thursday , might be worth a suss
Hahahaha you have to laugh, just got back to Agnes, and I have never seen magic seaweed have a surf report for flat,it just has looks like a week of fishing.
Same here Weiry. Flat, flat , flat. But very beautiful just the same.
I am with you Ted, bloody freezing up here. The demon westerlies are up and I have got long pants on for the first time this year.
Off to Byron on Monday for 10 days, so hope it warms up a tad.
ET.
Another softy from the mainland.
Ted, your home surf will be going off right now. Offshores have eased and it is well overhead on the northern ends and head high in the more protected spots. That spot you had some photo's of, a couple of weekends back will be the go.
Had some fun 2 foot beachies on Saturday morning, down my way, some closed out but the ones that held up were gold. But went out in a springie and I think I lost some jewels. Definitely speaking a little higher when I came out, warm water, icy wind.
Wind blew a gale all day Sunday, only a few spots with waves and they were packed. Don't do crowds anymore.
Thanks Sandsy - I have had many sms's to tell me how good it is this morning! Glad you have been getting some good ones. Those reefs will be pumping - perfect swell direction !!!!! The only exercise I have done the last few days is raising my right arm with a beer !! I am looking out the window watching some nice clean one footers rolling in with the occasional bigger one. Looks like the swell is starting to build here on the Goldie but its still really small. Hoping it might pick up a bit after lunch so I can catch a boat to an island just north of where I am staying. Rumour has it Chrispy was there this morning - thanks for the invite
Meanwhile back it home they say
Updated: Mon 5 May 6:22am
Surf: Clean 6ft+ SE
Winds: Light W
Weather: Fine And Sunny
Rating: 8/10
CLEAN and SOLID is the best way to describe it this morning, the swell is in the 6ft+ range from the SE and the W wind has backed right off to allow the swell in. Some of the Beach breaks are not handling the size but with a bit of searching should be able to find some very good waves today. A really nice looking day and definitely worth getting out there today.
Here is a pic of my view from my hotel on the 21st floor last night on dusk - you can see the epic lines rolling in
Yep its big here....sadly too big for most breaks...the points to the north of me (PP) would be brilliant. My car did a oil pressure sender this morning so no driving for me = no surf either
Sorry Ted, for the update.
I'm missing it as well, sitting in my glass box.
Hope the swell arrives there soon.
It will - can already see a few more lines coming in!
Surfbroker - I did see some closeness last night on the building straight across from me - I was thinking about Simondo's neighbour !!!
Here is a shot today from the German Banks - secret spot on the Northern Beaches

Start late and work longer the next day - thats what I do!
Thanks for the very kind offer - I would love to but with no transport makes life very difficult to borrow things. Really appreciate the very kind offer.
There is always Wednesday as well - things are also looking good then. Make it happen
How long you in town Tedwould love to catch up one day surf or even just a coffee
yes
Sounds good - I can come down your way for a surf on the way to the airport Wednesday arvo if suits? I will be done with work at 11:30am and my flight is not till fish - so heaps of time for a paddle if there are waves. If not I am sure we can work something else out

but hard when you have contractors fronting up
Local beachy was smoking today, lots of little barrels & some screamers on the Mardi'Gra quad...wanted to set up the soloshot, but I was scared it would rain. Need a solution, like a raincoat for my camera lol the actual soloshot is splashproof
you missed nothing LL
There,s two ways to look at this ted a I'm sorry you guys didn't score
B- I didn't miss out.
I did have a nice little arvo session on the hotlog
I can imagine - Glad you got some good ones. If I had one of those I also would have had a ball out in front of the hotel. Instead I have been doing work
Waves down south boys
Your not wrong Macaha......farkin brilliant this morning.
Line up was unusually tense, so paddled away from them and sat by myself....got wave after wave after wave.(read longboard wave pig)..2hrs of solid 3-4ft (and building). (The mob sat on one bank and never moved and squabbled like seagulls over chips for the waves....don't figure)
Nearly came in and changed to the shorty as the swell picking up and shape was bloody brilliant, but work called.....fark Im still frothin 3hrs later
