Heaps of swell (2.2m @ 10.5sec) and offshore winds - can not wait for the sun to come up

Weiry, Climber n Mac forgiven - the rest of you pffffft I would not mind if you lived locally obviously but given the spatial spread I was a bit concerned.

The Bomby at Merewether. Well overheard on the sets. So fast and so much wind I couldn't keep the 10'er in the water enough to control it!

This board is awesome!

I on the other hand am not!

Had fun though!

We have 1-2ft of very very ordinary surf...hope with the tide movement it may improve on the banks....not much here

Thats no good - we always pick up more swell than anywhere with the type of lows that generate these swells - we are pretty much the optimal distance from Bass Straight and have enough angle to suck those direct south swells in.

Speaking of clean waves Mick here are a few that the lady took of me the last few hours. Dropped off a lot since this morning but still some fun ones coming through. Bit busier than normal - word got out

Thanks fellas for the nice comments. Seriously LL would smash me any day of the week. Prawnhead goes pretty good to ! I am pretty sure Tux smashes it up and lots of others on here. Mick has some nice turns. Tea cake would probably be the champ though - he has nice style n all the moves. I think we all just have fun and that is the main thing. Today was just one of those amazing days in winter - and really one of the main reasons I choose Australia as my place of residence. The water is fairly warm still, whales everywhere, the sun is out - blue skies all day - a light offshore and 4 to 5ft of swell in the morning that dropped as the day went on. I spent 6 hrs in the water. I am knackered now. If I was back home in NZ there is no way I would be doing 3 surfs a day in late June ! Plus it would be windy and cold (most likely) and there would be lots of rocks to avoid - so I would have to wear booties.

Was actually a bit embarrassed about the top turn with the spray - far too straight in the body in the sequence - its like I think I am on the BGB still. I spent the late arvo surf trying to correct it.

Australia rocks - once you get more than 100km from the big cities the surf is generally uncrowded and unreal mid week with the consistent swell and settled wind conditions.

Jb - thats the Potatonator - Its become my go to board 90% of the time. Hoping to replace it with LL's Nano when he decides to upgrade
