Do you have mobile internet? Go, and send me a PM where it's worth looking to save me some legwork. I'll be out around 3pm.
I'm gonna go check out some groynes and see what I can find...kind of wish now that I owned a wetsuit hahah.
Checking it now. Sandtrax is off the chain! Hahah deadly conditions and some serious amount of sand moving around.
Massive white water at Trigg... looks to be double head at the Point... no one out, and very surprised to see the swimmers area still flagged?!
A few schoolies having a crack at one of the northern groynes known more for skim boarding, but it is far from good.
I checked a once a year novelty wave, but it was not working... not enough swell getting into it.
I went out at a once-in-a-lifetime novelty wave. Got one or two. Quite a crowd. Suba? No, someone else nuts enough to wear boardies. Horizontal rain sucked.
Saw waist to chest high wind waves breaking on the sandbar at Point Walter!!
How many klms inland is that?
Rotto wave rider buoy at 6:46pm - 6.54M.
Looks like the beaches are getting a good workout and with offshores for Saturday and Sunday it should be on for the weekend warriors. Now there's something to look forward too!
its all lining up for the early low tide 6+mt swell wsw wind.weird for this time of year just saw a surg go up the boat ramp at hillarys and into the carpark
launch jetty is 2ft under water
I wouldn't get too excited. I suspect by the time the wind abates and co-operates there will be very little swell left around Perth
got down there at 6am enough swell ,tide was higher than predicted, wind still had to much west ,heaps of weed mabey late morning
