Tweaked my left hip yesterday and now I'm hobbling around like I've got a pumpkin up my arse. Just when I've got two days flat chat getting ready for a fortnight at Exy.
Hope it comes good or I'll have to actually rest on my holiday

Put your hand up if you were crazy/clueless enough to be out at Smot this arvo.

Keep it up if your body and board are unscathed.

I can't see any hands...

I saw a few huge sets through there yesterday as i was riding by, and a lot of duck diving and a lot of rocks on the inside.

Dorian Paskowitz. Considering he's been surfing since 1935 he's in pretty good nick.

Just reading the swellnet surf report
Says that there one person out at Mettams trying to make the most of the average conditions
I wonder who that might be ????

Saw it first thing this morning with no-one out, definitely was pretty average.
Smot looked good but crowded
Went in at Trig 2nds which had some size but was messy. Full credit to the fellow in the grey and red wetsuit who scored a nice little barrel, then finished the same wave with an air reverse rodeo clown thingo and almost made it.

Nice surprise at the beach this morning, light offshore with head high wedges coming through, some clean barrels and very few crew.

Swell has been dropping for the last few days. Yesterday was small/fun at Echo (full tide) and smaller again this morning, didn't go out. Will be heading down to Old Man's this arvo to hire a longboard.

New swell due in a couple of days.

No Kuta for me I stay well away from that joint!

How good was Wednesday and Thursday! Finally some offshore winds and a clean swell, the only downside was the helicopter hovering low heading slowly towards me. Almost looked like it was herding something in my direction but I didn't see anything.
