Me neither But you gotta admit that surfing in strong onshore winds is of the devil[}:)] That's why windsurfing was invented

Windsurfing...now that's on my to do list.

Anyhoo, just got back from the tea rooms. Windy or not, had an absolute blast. Some fairly sizable waves rolling through but quite a few guys out. Good thing was it was so consistent you could get a decent ride almost every minute to yourself.

It's been a messy few days but I'll be honest...I'm having a ball with these waves. Fast, long rides that destroy you if you decide to try and get a shorebreak "tube ride" and then get assploaded in the close out. I'm off to buy another leash.....again.

Beachbreak insanity on Sunday. Where was everyone? I parked my car right next to the path to the beach, and there were really only two of us within 100m of anyone else. That was right in front of the path, and there were about 10 people within 500m. Dirty water, I thought I might get sick from stormwater runoff but as of today I've dodged the bullet. I was late getting down and the wind spoiled it a bit after lunch. The early was obviously the go.

Today was Antarctic. My feet are still frozen. The sand was intense, both on the way down and on the way back. It had to be done though, with a rapidly dropping swell and flatness forever in the forecast. Waves were miniscule but clean. Too small to float my fat arse.

You still thinking of Mrs Palmer? It was 2-3', glassy and hollow, lumpy and wedgy. Lots of closeouts, but in between a wedgy little peak would line up perfectly, unloading and spitting on the shallow sand until the wind spoiled things. When I arrived as far as I could see from the sand dunes it was firing in both directions. Dawn to 11:30am would've been perfect.

I didnt even drag my lazy ass out of bed untill 10am then went shooting at the Lone Ranger shooting place, that was great fun!!! Then back to bed for some arvo delight (real woman) and then Moto GP was on telly, bed 9.30pm.
I thought thirds would be good, even the underpass. I think everyone got spooked by the wind forcast (keep the sh!t up Laurie its working well)

That was me!! Lined up some 'household jobs' that'd been on the list for a while - and slept in after a few drinks Sat night... by the time my fuzzy eyes realised it was a true offshore it was 10:00am and I was too far into my 'chores' to leave them for another day

I went on Sunday and found nothing but mush.
Today was the first day in well over a month I haven't surfed...feels...lame

Lone Ranges eh Doggie? Did you need a loan to pay for the bullets. Place is farkin expensive.

Sunday was good. Was in at 7, no wind at all, really glassy. Pretty lumpy but some nice ones came through between the closeouts. Trigg was pretty much deserted, I think the howling onshore prediction tricked everybody.

Today was really clean but small and oh so cold. In at 7 and only a few others out for as far as I could see.

I hate the cold, but it really keeps the crowds away!

You could really spend up big in there. 44mag Dirty Harry style I think was $100 for 30 rounds. Then you could get a package with 3-4 different guns for $220 from memory and a bucket load of rounds.
I would love to have my own gun but its not the sort of thing I would do all the time. A mate just brought a 9mm pistol $8000, he is a serious shooter but jeez how many boards wetties ect could you buy with that sort of cash!!!
