Awesome unbreakable rig wade. Love the trusty sail number. Enjoy many knots of apparent wind she will create. Are you hiding the board racks or are you just gonna hire the gear when you run out of land on the west coast. Beware flinders reef just before you hit the east coast again and don,t forget your GPS.

Your a dribbler JV

Got a quick sail (whilst away for work) down the central coast NSW.
Borrowed some gear from my brother.
Westerly and not too much but was worth getting wet.

That was a quick trip! Budgy is great at the moment -you're getting along nicely!

All good wade. I,m with paddles. By sail number l meant the DR plate. But seems some needed to stop talking bikes . So l better not say what we are planning for this weekend or start dirty bikey jokes to regain sanity.
Good news is that in the wind drought l,ve "landed" a job at the airport with shift work . So it looks promising for weekdays to land a sail on the good days and lots of paid early planing work in the lulls.
So hope to see you,s all heaps on the water (or the tracks) for many seasons to come .

Looks like Jeff was too shy to tell us about his BMW weekend away weren't you Jeff!!!!!!!
while we were stuck in the doldrums here and he was out with his pack rape bikie mates the best I could do was invest in a couple of new boards.......
What boards I hear you ask?
good question..
Well since I've persued this noble quest of going really fast without dieing or getting seriously incapacitated I decided to invest in a strategy-that would allow me to reach my goal intact..
after perusing all the available speed boards suitable for a 67 year old pensionor I pondered over the available choice of 40 Wide , 50 wide, 55 wide
i thought "what would Bjorn do, what would Robbie do?...
so I carefully invested in a Sputnik 270 ..
This is the Datsun 240z, the Elle Mc Phearson, the Yamaha FJ1200 and the young bloke who has the body I used to have and it looks allright on him now
But I digress....
For only $100 dollars you too could be the proud owners of a Sputnik 270 circa 1995 and Sputnik 290 circa 1996
Seriously fast in their day (as I was)....
So now I have a Sputnik 270, a 2016 KA Koyote, a Maui delta 20 cm speed weed....
What could possibly go wrong???
Wish me luck seabreesers..........
all I need is 25-30 knots and a lowish tide

Love my F2 axis Pete but its more of a cross. Similar year though. Hope you get your pb on the sputnic. A hundred bucks scored my fastest Wind action 275 with new straps and an awesome fin. I am yet to find out how much better the new stuff is but l suspect they would be easier to jibe and stay planing but its the sails and sailors that make them faster especially through chop. Great score and let us know if you see another or want to sell it or your last sail.. Cause l reckon it will be faster and smoother than my wind action and far safer with the weed fin off the wind.. Had a few fin knocks out there not to mention the 25 to 30 cm fish l horse shoed and had to sheet out to release .

Really sorry we haven't caught up with you guys for ages. We had too many work days conflicting with the only windy days, and it seems ages since we've got out. The closest we've come to windsurfing was dropping into Board Crazy after taking our daughter to a medical appointment nearby. Simon put a board on the floor and gave Janet a really great gybing tutorial, which she now unfortunately feels she's mostly forgotten! I was eyeing off the Naish GT boards - it would be great to get a 120L for Janet and a 140L for me. And I really liked the Hawk he advertised but I can't justify the money when we are hardly getting out.

I have however got out plenty on the Beta X-Trainer dirt bike! Big session on the big hills at Bellthorpe yesterday. Dunno if you guys get to see Barry's video channel - I seem to be featuring lots on his vids lately! This is a good one for starters ...

Might try here at near dead low tide in a southerly. Sandbank sits out nice and at a good angle for some reaches heading west. And can call into the Sandstone point Hotel for a beer between runs.

OK I'm in, what time you heading down Wade? High tide is around 9 and I'm hoping the wind will have come in by then to give us a few hours sailing or else it'll be over to South Esplanade on the low tide late afternoon for me.

Actually a bit south of South Esplanade, at Victoria Point. Same there, wind seemed to come in after the tide.
Good to catch up the crew from south of the border/river.

You didn't miss much up our way Brad, we had to sail right over to the bank at the bottom of the passage out from South Esplanade to find wind. I maybe got 5-6 reasonable planing runs back and forth and then the rest of the time would pump onto the plane and then fall into a hole after 50m and just generally wear myself out. Pete got going a lot easier given that he doesn't weigh 99kg and sails heaps better than me.

Yeah, only one planing run for me, same for Morgan I think. Morgan's son Jay was planning a fair bit on Morgan's new Xite ride.
Pat and Tony went okay on the Lightnings.
Still better than mowing the in-laws acre of lawn, which I amoff to do now!

Yuk, it's parametric and implicit differentiation for me, I wish I was mowing a lawn ...............
