You will make it paddles, being 80 he will be having a nap about 100 pm, and there is no water here yet, just 10 tea bags so far.

Fun arvo.

Well out numbered by kite surfers today, need some more of the regulars back.
Adam was blitzing it on his Naish. Really progressing quickly now, nice work mate. Pat was there on the custom Lightning for a while. Bones and I were on the Carves.

6.0m's were well overpowered at times. Water temp was about a degree above brass monkeys. Lots of weed, I spent about as much time going sideways as forward.

Hope the mid week crew have fun. Sorry no pix Pete, too busy sailing.

They from your Go-pro Pat?

Nice style points on the gybe Bones. Did ya make it? and why do you have a teeny tiny kite attached to your sail?

Think that's me, not Adam in the first one. Can tell by the wheelie the board is doing with all the weight on the back.

Maybe no sailing this weekend for me, supposed to be riding in the MS Brissie to Bay 100km on Sunday, but I think I might stay drier sailing at Turner's.

Might see your there if it gets canned, if not have fun.

Had a sail on Wednesday at sandstone point with John pad. Planning in the stronger gusts a good afternoon until John hit the rocks and needed a couple of stitches.

Just popping the head up to say Hi ... sorry we haven't seen you guys for ages. Janet and I really need to get back up there for some sailing! Been ages. There's been plenty happening (as usual). Apart from work, Janet's doing a lot of running training for the Bridge to Bridge half marathon and doing a million mother/ grandmother things. I've been getting out dirt biking pretty regularly. Also riding the pushy more as an old friend got back from working O/S for a year, bought a nice road bike and has been dragging me out as a training partner. Even been out flying and dynamic soaring the RC gliders one windy day ... and CNC cutting some moulds too. Cheesh no wonder we haven't been sailing. We need to do it! But we're pretty tied up over the next coupla weeks. Anyway it's nice to read your reports now and then.

Luckily it missed anything essential, Doc was pretty suss though because it was quite a big cut and pretty deep. I remember doing it but didn't realise I'd cut it bad because it didn't hurt much or bleed much so just kept sailing.

Looking good Wade. Hi Brad, I'm still out with a busted shoulder for a few more weeks. I dunno if there'll be much wind though, it's very light here.

Busted shoulder??? I thought you cut your shin? Maybe if we stuck you and Bones together we could get one functioning sailor.

Probably heading down to Morgan's side of town tomorrow.
Always enough wind for the F2 Lightning. Especially now I have been watching the videos on how to pump properly (will take a paddle just in case).

Sorry Wade, I've only just had a look at the Sandstone blog, you should have come for a sail with me. I sailed Phillip Street Beachmere by myself today from 12 till 2pm for the first time. I've now found my westerlies sailing spot, blue skies, p!zzing down sunburn and green clear water. Very flat offshore conditions with gusty 15kn wind and great sandy bottom and it's still only chest deep a few hundred metres out, sensational. A few holes in the wind but the bomb gusts were too much for the 7.8 so dropped to a 7 and things settled down, still came off the plane and cruised through the holes but a lot better in the gusts.

Sound good. How tide dependent is it?

I have a 8.6m now so im good for the light stuff.

Similar tide dependency to Sandstone, but where Sandstone stays the same depth out to the drop, Beachmere slowly shelves down so whilst you'll have some walking to get in you will still be able to sail.

Any of you Sandstone kids up for a sail at Beachmere this arvo? High tide is 1530 and wind should hopefully be in the 10-15kn range.
