Looks good mate.
I should get a good chance to try a few of the fins tomorrow, and hopefully a better go at tuning on them.
Maybe even on a few different boards, depending on the wind.
If, or while it has mostly south in it, I might try the smaller one's on the equivalent boards.
When do you get your sail, and when are you sailing again? Tomorrow look's best I reckon.
Sex and credit mate, some people get it and some don't......
and some need one to get the other...
Bwahahaha .............. Peter, you're a man of the world
I always check the BOM ocean wind model, this week it's been pretty much spot on with very unusual conditions of calm in the middle of the day and 20-25 at night. Yesterday it showed the central and eastern bay lit up but Beachmere/Bribie 5-10 and dropping out in the middle of the day whilst the Brisbane seabreeze arrows showed 20kn all day. I worked and studied and responded to Darren's frustrated text messages instead.
No, you were always going to find yourself another group of delinquents to share the sailing days with

Should turn up monday hopefully.
Might be able to sneak a sail in this weekend if it blows.
Unfortunately I work down at Archerfield so weekdays are out for me.
Im planning to get a samller 25 or 28cm weedy for this smaller sail.
the 33 was way too big for the 6.6m
Hey Sandstone kids, maybe get your chores done early today just in case we get a northeaster this arvo. Late low tide should mean flat water.
Im doing a pre emptive sail report for today.
Awsome sail Bla bla bla. Wind came in late after wade left without sailing. Bla bla bla.
Ended up on 7 metres bla bla bla. All on small boards bla bla bla. Wade should have stayed bla bla bla
You summed it up spot on Wade, then it got better Dags pulled an esky from somewhere in his full car and we all had a beer (beautiful thanks). Great arvo on the fat boards yet again.
Was a lot of fun, yes you did leave too early Wade. You would have been flying. Good to see Jeffrey do a cameo.
How's them old "Bones" birthday boy?
Oh yeah and beers, thanks Dags.
Not a bad end to the weekend.
Yeah, that was a nice afternoon even though I had to leave and not drink Dag's beers. Wrestled with the 10m sail which overpowered the fin and made the board a bit of a handful but still got a couple of good planing runs in though. I'm biting the bullet and ordering a 60cm slalom fin for when I use the big sails on the light days, the 52cm freeride fin just doesn't cut it. Happy birthday to Bones.

Nice writeup Wade, almost like being there instead of being home with my beautiful grandkids...
I love it how Pete moves away and suddenly there's no more coffee and cake at the beach, the music gets turned up and the beers come out like when your oldies go away from home for a few hours
Wade, that just made me p1ss myself laughing. I'm so sorry that it was your misfortune, but I love the way you write.
I'm not gunna say it.
"But" - It wasn't quite like that mate. I was on 8.5 so that say's a lot.
Did some tuning on that sail properly for the first real time, and now have a proper starting point for the weed fin's.
The 52cm Tectonics Raptor was just amazing. It felt like I was just along for the ride, and I was doing hardly any work at all.
Anything I say will look like I just copied what the marketing says. The phrase that seems to be repeated the most is
"Controlled, level lift". It was really noticeable, and what stood out to me is the different noise under the board.
Earlier planing, and once up and going, it stayed going, and so many times I wondered how I was still going.
Pointing high as anything possible, and It was definitely faster for a fin that size. When gibing, the apparent wind was more than the actual wind, so had nothing in the sail till that crucial point of flipping it.
Mission accomplished.
Not as good for Cianna today. She stood on a sea-urchin. That was that. Thankfully Tony's family were there and she eventually played on the beach and soon forgot about it. Thanks guy's. Going to source some footwear.
Wade should have stayed. Oh crap! I said it!

Ha.
I was wondering about that one too???
The 10 metre spinaker must have been working a treat on that run
Brad, you waited till now to upload the "Shark" episode.
I just watched it. That says everything.
Yep, so close to making it past the rocks........Damn you Mr Toothy.
However, I am now wondering if it may have been Adam protecting his "Queen" of Sandstone Point status
Hey Adam, are you taking up knitting instead
Sandstone is looking promising tomorrow on the high tide if anyone's up for it, I've just spoken to Adam and he's keen and reckons Jeff is too.
