I'm not too hopeful we'll have enough wind for Sandstone on the morning tide and will have to sail Bongaree on the last of the ebb after lunch. I need to be home here by 2:30 so might end up not being able to sail till Sunday if the wind doesn't come in early enough. The BOM model is showing a 15-20 southerly push up through the eastern and central bay Sunday morning so Sandstone might be good on Sunday for a few hours.
Dunno Duncan, might be worth the drive to Bongaree to extend the sailing time. At least you can sail low tide. I don't know anywhere at Vicci to sail, maybe jump off the jetty?
Not sure which way to go. After last weekend I would be happy for more wind and less weed! Still no weed fin
Is there weed at Bongaree
Doesn't seem to be too much weed at Bongaree, it's all still growing in the sand. There's still a bit up at Turner's camp into Ningi Creek though and also a bit in close at Sandstone Point.
Going to Sandstone in the morning early for a look. If you are thinking of heading to the Island later in the day, just be aware of the concerts on Saturday and Sunday at the Sandstone Point Hotel.
Saturday is a sell out and starts at 1.30, so you will probably hit some traffic.
Got lured out of the house by Adam and Brad this morning with talk of 15kn wind at Sandstone. It was a vicious rumour with no truth to it. Few little runs and one nice long run in between plenty of cruising around. Another beautiful morning on the water though. It's blowing at Beachmere now and hopefully tomorrow morning will be better.
I'm going to Sandstone early in the morning, at least to teach Cianna, and then over to Bongaree.
Wonder what wind we'll get. I don't care if it's big sail's, or even long board weather.
Is 2 hrs before low tide too early for Bongaree? Is anyone else thinking of coming to Bongaree this afternoon?
Good news. I had a great day yesterday at Wellington point so hoping I can back it up today with out too much drama. I'll look out for Darren and may catch up with you later.
Awesome days sailing at sandstone yet again! Milked every bit of the tide today, fin was drawing lines in the sand beneath and crunching shells.

Maybe you guys should be the Sandstone Scrapers.
Bongaree was absolute magic again. Soooooo flat. On the plane, fully lit on the 5.8 the whole time.
At the end of the session the wind picked up even more, and if I had more time I would have gone down two board sizes.
Managed 28 knot's on big board and big fin.
Sandstone strikers more like, I hit the rocks and had a catapult- luckily no damage apart from the fin...

Wish I had more ...puff left. Sounds like it would have been great.
Yep, good fun today but never felt overpowered with an 8.5 so that shows how much it blew in later on the low tide for Dag at Bongaree. It would have been too much for me after buzzing around Sandstone earlier. Adam was sidelined whilst his mate had his first go at windsurfing and scored a bit of coaching from Darren who has also got his daughter Cianna going well too. Great to have our mentor Pete up from deep in pirate territory to join us regulars for a blast as well on his new slalom board, it didn't take long for him to forget where our rocks are leaving his fin looking a little second hand.
I thought Wellington Point was good yesterday but wow Bongaree was even better today. As Dag has said it was flat and humming. Loved the trip across the channel on the way back!!

Pope John was sailing over there on 6.4 while you guy's were there. That's the difference in wind.
It still amazes me, because you'd think it's the same wind. I was on the 5.8, but it was only at the end that it really blew enough to have gone down two sizes in board, and I'd had enough anyway by then.
Thinking about an early morning sail tomorrow.
All those red arrow's ahead mean's last chance for a while with obligation's as well.
