Yawwwwwn ...................... we rode past on our pushies just as Dag was turning into Oxley Place and didn't see any sails on the water so assumed only enough wind for longboards, but Adam reckoned he was planing most of the time on his GO. Beautiful day though

Very active afternoon .. not just for the Wally lovers
Adam did his 100kms on the go testing his 9m reflex
The pope wore himself out before i arrived
tony and brad drag racing on their lightwind boards with 9.5 sails. Witnessed obvious development in technologies
brad reining in tony on a long run and passing easily. Ezzy infinity 9.5 on starboard freeformula (2004) vs 9.5 overdrive on jpslw
Dennis was on excite ride and ezzy 9 cheeta getting his heaps of sailing catchup time
I was in play mode (spent last 2 days practicing gybe) sailed the ultrasonic and spent more time sorting out the 9.5 OD its a beast compared to the ezzy 9.5 lion. Heaps of power needing a little more rigging knowledge. Got it settled by the end of the session. Had some great flying on the fin runs - love the ultrasonic for that feeling
Max continues to improve on the F2 Sx 6.7 od - think he needs a smaller board (any little slalom boards around?)
fish,n,chips for dinner ..... perfect afternoon
cheers Jeff
Enjoyable days sailing at sandstone with a couple of hours off during low tide for a chat with Steve and The Pope.
Was hoping to kick Adams 106 Km in the butt but butted out when the wind failed to co-operate. Cruisy sailing on the old Thommen and 7.8 blade with the 28 fangy fin not spinning out once even in the wicked chop out in the middle! gotta love the fangy in the shallow water. The wind ran out of puff before I did too. Oh well, another time Adam
Great to meet up withPatrick today - one of the original Sandstone boys
He is keen to get his windsurfing mojo back into action
Pat at RQYS try windsurf day
cheers Jeff
Great to see Pat. Bring your long board to Turner's today.
Pete and I are going to get some time in on the new Wally's.
Who else is in for some long board fun, with maybe a good puff in the arvo when the bank is out?
Wow, that's a long time between drinks Pat, great to see you back sailing. Yeah, I'll come over for a sail Dag, see you over there.
Please be patient with me ... i feel like an old man today... Sad considering that there was only a light breeze yesterday. But I thoroughly enjoyed it.I will definitely be joining you again. :-)
Another sandstone / Elanda team rider was spotted getting wet today
Duncan out on his 8m turbo and futura absolutely hooning today. RQYS
Jane had a good morning out on the Bic windsup getting her mojo going
Cheers Jeff
Yep, if mummy lets me out of the office I'll come over and sail the high tide. It's quite windy here tonight so it'll probably calm down a little and hopefully be nice in the morning. Should be enough water from 9am onwards
Sweet, I aim to be there around noon. Where are you guys usually go? As in what street?
Oxley place sandstone point
Great afternoon with the usual suspects
high tide good wind with rerigging as the wind declined
Notable was the upgrading of the level of equipment ... Adam testing his Fanatic slalom board... OMG. It goes too fast!!!
Burrum shakedown for Max as he gets use to smaller equipment- Dad playing beach caddy getting stuff ready.
Mark made the best of the dying wind showing freeride gear giving gives a reliable ride.
The pope retired after getting his daily workout
Cheers Jeff
All the big names at Sandstone today with the heavy hitters from the Moreton Bay Mob joining the Sandstone crew of Adam, Denis, Tony and myself for a sail. Sandstone was just about as good as it gets with 20 knots of straight southerly and neap tides so flat conditions that got even flatter as the tide dropped. I left the lads with it and snuck home once my fin started to hit the bottom but it was looking like they were flying out there in the shallows. The water was clean and clear and the sun was out, simply fantastic.
Yep , sandstone delivered a perfect day for us today, also great to have the wello crew visit , a great day had by all.
yeah first thing he said this morning was "when are we going again"
it was great to see all the guys treat him like a champ as well.
Another happy sandstone point windsurfer.
That smile says it all
Another lovely day today but not as good for sailing as yesterday because the wind was a bit lighter and the tide was also a bit lower. Jonno and his friend, Tony, Caboolture Mark and Bribie Mark were there, also another fellow I haven't met before, and Pete showed up so plenty of sails on the water without a lot of the regulars. Both Adam and myself used our big old GO's with 56 fins and 7.5 sails in the lighter conditions but I started to hit the bottom in places with the 56 fin with such a small tide and ended up nailing a stingray (I dunno what I hit but Mark saw a stingray tail floating there shortly afterwards) and stacked it so packed up after only a short blast.
Took the trip to my old stomping grounds at sandstone to catch up and spend time on my new -ish sp 110 A good crowd of sailors and some kites too. 7.3 all day and tried a bunch of different fins. Wind was good and water was clear. I'm looking forward to getting to know the 110
Was a cracker of a days sailing Saturday. Thanks for the hospitality Sandstone boys. Sorry to mess up your lovely spot with the blood John!!
Will listen more attentively at safety briefings in the future. I will be back there for sure!!
Forecast and other commitments mean it is looking like longboards on Saturday morning for me. Anyone keen?
