Old thread was closed so here is a new one to welcome Dolph.
Today looks a bit ropey but fingers crossed Huey will come to the party at the weekend.
Where are we headed?
Mandurghistan anyone?
Welcome to the team, Dolph.
Saturday could be a go, but I don't have a lot of time so I'll have to stay closer to home than Mandurah.
Thanks guys, look forward to getting involved and meeting you.
The way the weather looks will be on big gear at melville Saturday
Not much hope here...
I'll be checking the wind and if it picks up, it will be Pinnaroo for me.
Then Monday Pelican Point for sure.
I still managed a short session yesterday at Pinnaroo's
I was thinking Thursday afternoon again.
Pelicans is preferred, or Pinnaroo's if the wind is insufficient.
Anyone else planning to go?
At Pinnaroo's, the wind was fairly consistent unlike other spots. This is the first time I managed to avoid the "walk of shame" there, so my confidence is growing, but would still prefer Pelican's as it is flatter.
Obelix,
Forecast could well change by then but it will probably be coastal again so better wind at Pinaroo. I hope to get out and will decide where nearer the time.
... And the gods are smiling on me, I have Thursday off!!!
YAY!!!
Might be able to contribute to a team score for once...
(but lookit that swell! )
after slagging off your logo or lack of it and seeing the ideas that had been going around I did some sketches, learnt a new program and these are for you. Just pm or email if you want one with your name on it, or better quality. And if you dont like it or adopt it- no worries - thanks for helping me learn Adobe illustrator.
what did you have in mind Mineral ?
I cant do 2011 board colours they make me sick!
I think 1 colour is best to be seen on a sail at a distance, and easier to get printed at the signwriters.
BUt tell me and I will give it ago.
ps thanks for the vote!
I didn't know we had a logo or that design ideas were floating around but yours looks pretty good Toby. Simple and stylish yet the representation is clear.
If I was to be a little picky - the t and possibly e on team are out of alignment...
but maybe you intended it that way.
Agree with obelix that dark blue would show better against the sea and sky.
You didn't do one with my name on it...
yeah that "t" bugged me too, and the stars are 7 and 5 pointers now.
colours lost a bit on this page, but PM a real email and i can send a better version.
Toby,
Although the 7 pointed stars are more authentic, I think the 5 pointed ones work better because of their simplicity.
And thanks for putting my name on one. I'll overlook the spelling error because I often spell it that way too!
Mineral, when did you ask for logo ideas?
I think Toby has done a sterling job. I didn't know you were also an artist/graphic designer Toby...
