They took too long! I was trying to hold out on replacing my Swings until the A-Wing came out, but ended up picking up a quiver of BRM Cloud Wings.
Very like the Wasp with Y handles and monster leading edge. Interesting they are very powerful for their size. Bet they are cheap

Yes crazy monster size leading edge.... I like the look of the handles. Big rigid handles like on the SMIK are they way to go.
The windows are so tiny I bet they are useless. Most people say they don't even look through them. They will be over AU 2k for sure

Windows are a hoax as you only see what is beside you downwind. The leading edge blocks frontal view where someone would come from if you collided. Quick lift of the arms and you have an uninterrupted view. Plus deform under load, are heavy and have cracking issues.
Interesting that the A-Wing has separate valves for the strut and leading edge, same as BRM.
Under the handles it has a taped seam. The WR and Slingwing have the seam to the sides of the strut. The seam can wear and scrape the skin off your knuckles.

Agree. Have a S25 . Have never looked through the window. Great wing!!!, but can see that I will have to replace transparent panels at some stage. Yep, interesting to see what the Armstrong wings will cost??

I am often on the water with many other wingsurfers and windsurfers and I use mine a lot.
On the odd occasion that I swap and use someone else's wing without windows I really miss them and actually find it a bit dangerous.

Looks like its got a cupped leech, yacht headsails have the same thing but adjustable to stiffen up the back of the sail and get more drive out of it. The other 2 look like they dont from that angle?

So if somebody is there sailing parallel you will see him before you go into a fancy and maybe bloody gybe?
I also like the window in tight spaces with buoys,moored boats,sandbars,rocks etc...
IMHO as winging explodes in popularity they will become standard.
As for the Armstrong...1300USD??

Takoon has made a great wing for 500?(and hey,no windows :), prices on most other brands will come down eventually i guess.
It does look good though.
Re the window argument I agree they don't give perfect visibility at the one and two o'clock angle but at three and four o'clock you can clearly see if someone is downwind so you know that you are clear to do a gybe.. Same with windsurf sails..
I've seen the odd collision windsurfing where two sailers are sailing parallel to each other and the upwind sailer has suddenly gybed (without first
looking) and hit the downwind sailer before they could get out of their way.. This happening with foils makes the whole thing so much worse.
Armstrong must think they are needed to go to the trouble of having them in their wings and it shouldn't have to come to serious accidents for others to realize that they are definitely needed.
The mini boom looks cool. One army dinging. Says it can be fitted to most wings.

They allow me to see boats and Jet Skis zooming all around me trying to kill me.
BTW, windsurf sails have the same blind spot. Did they stop using windows. Hell NO. Stupid argument.

Similar pricing for 5 BRMs for 3 Armstrong wings.
Have used the wings, and to all those window haters... They do work actually! you get used to using the top one and don't really do the lift up to look anymore. Handy for spotting waves & people! Agree with the Real Watersports review, very grunty for their size.. Can use a 4.5 in 10kn with a sinker board.. Haven't been able to do that with any other wing!

Have to agree the placement is where they need to be right next to the leading edge so you can look forward. It is a big tube though to see around

But seems quiet the same concept between Brm and Armstrong, big leading edge and compact shape
