I'm in favour of getting to the truth.

Listening to the other side is the only way that can be achieved. This for example: x.com/newstart_2024/status/1831102789092569493?s=46&t=1GB2TIBB90HpGgoUCFAO5w

Wait, so according to this Dr, the best way to get immunity to Covid is to catch Covid?

Apparently he believes that infection confers long lasting immunity, and he has the science to bsck it up?
Nope, it's still 'emerging evidence '

But back in 2021 he was confident the USA would have herd immunity by April.
If they did, well it didn't help much for Delta.
Yet Dr Makary was so adamant that Covid wasn't that bad, he couldn't change his stance as new evidence came in.

I've no problem listening to the 'otherside', but some of the things that are put forward as arguments are not particularly sound. Or even based in reality

I recall Gerry Vanden Bossche warning against mass immunisation in the middle of a pandemic. He said it would drive variants.

For me the most important factor to consider when looking at advice is to consider whether or not there is a financial gain to be had in offering the advice. If not and the advice is likely to have a negative impact on the advisor it's highly likely that his integrity is the driving factor.

And was covid bad? For some it was lethal. For the majority it was no worse than influenza. Which kills a lot of folk every year and always has done. I tested positive for it when I was feeling a little bit ordinary and one of the guys at work (who's wife was immunocompromised) asked me to make sure I hadn't got Covid and get a test. Happily I did as I got a week off work!

You really should read The Real Anthony Fauci.

The book written by RFK Junior?
The one whose business is entirely based on attacking childhood vaccinations and promoting 'alternative health?

You don't see any financial incentive for him to say and write what he does?

Funny! I have an old school friend in
Miami who told me that a book I recommended he read was written to inflame and therefore he would not read it.

If I were with him in a situation where we were in serious danger my first instinct would be to put as much distance twixt he and me as possible.

RFK's business is NOT entirely based on attacking childhood vaccinations and promoting 'alternative health. That is the narrative the legacy media has disseminated widely amongst the legacy media consumers. It is propaganda.

So, the flat earthers have given up on this thread and so they are throwing in COVID conspiracies instead. It truly is a race to the bottom. Look like you have no more arguments to your theory? Distract and change the subject. Must be nice to not have to consider facts in your propositions.

I am redoing my driveway and I need it flat... well, with a gradient, but essentially flat.

Fly surfer without entirely coming out of the closet was questioning lots of the theories put forward by NASA.

Then there's these guys - from 44 to 52 minutes who go through the motivation for the con.

One flat earther and a hundred forum-ers posting against them.

Yet, after all these years the flat earther is still standing and still posting. Whilst those who oppose seem to get repeat bans for abusing the rules of the forum and the rules of civility in general.

Makes you wonder who the smart cookie is.

I've been thinking of joining the flat earth-side for a while now. If for nothing more than to upset idiots scientists who beLIEve they engage in skeptisicsm and critcal thinking and are thinking they are smartier than flat earthers.

What has The Children's Health Defense got to do with the price of fish?

It is a non profit organisation which he helped found and is chairman of, (currently on leave). He became involved when he was lobbied by a group of women seeking justice for their vaccine injured children. He had established a reputation in the environmental field and they felt he could help them achieve their goals.

He is primarily a lawyer. His function is to act on behalf of people in court. If you choose to construe from that that " his business is attacking childhood vaccinations" that's up to you. It strikes me as being strangely tortuous logic .

I've a lot of doubts about many things Pete! The moon mission for example. Did they or didn't they? Who knows. I've no intention of following it up though because it's not critical.

Flat earth? No. As I've said many a time I'm more than satisfied we are on a planet. How does sun light get beneath clouds at dawn and dusk?
Why can I not see land when I look south towards South West Rocks from the beach yet when I look south from the lookout hey presto, the Macleay valley become clearly visible.

Using your logic you would conclude that South West Rocks was an island if you were planning to go there had you no map. Clever f***ers like me know different!

Remery has revealed a hidden irony in this post. Incorrect quote and wrong attribution. A psychologist by the name of Herbert Gerjuoy was the author. Toffler did correctly quote him in his book Future Shock. I am not sure who/where the incorrect version originated. FWIW here is the full quote.

Well, learning to learn is easy. Just choose the memes in your inbox that resonate with you.

That's right isn't it? Why am I even asking. What would you know, you are clearly in on it and have been gotten to, and most importantly don't agree with me.

Wow, dude you just slipped up and let the truth out..

remery and Pcd are the same person ? All makes sense now. It must be like that Golam character in those Lord of the Rings films. I can picture him sitting on the end of the bed ranting to himself, calling himself an idiot and blaming Laurie the White for eveything.
