Maybe the fridge mechanic tripped it out or turned it off and forgot to reset it before he left McNauticaL

Fridge mechanic came back to check how frudge was going. He found two bliwn fuses on my battery charger.

was he from New Zealand ?

I'm curious about the placement of those navigation lights? Will they meet the visibility requirements when heeled?

Those nav lights are for steaming only , Ill have mast lights on a different circuit while under sail and anchor.

Why are you so convinced in getting mast head lights ho2 none of my yachts have had mast heads....the less crap you have going up your mast the better I think!

Thought I had to have them south ace

I would not like to have the leds I have now higher on the deck so the light wont effect my sight at night and reflection of the deck

No you don't need to have them....I belive its only conpolsory for sailing vessels over I think 14 meters.

You just need a anchor light and a steam/deck light on the mast.

On the way back from the heads I noticed the gearbox oil pressure wavering so puuled into Sorrento to give it a look over. The oil hose to the heat exchanger was leaking a bit so i topped her up and motored home to Blairgowrie. Next day i went out to remove the hose and with one twist it gave way.

.....So in the row boat and drive to Anykinda mechanical repairs in Rosebud Industrial Estate and had this made up on the spot for $100

...........Rowed back out and fitted the new hose and was back in business again.

Started fixing down the stainless sheet also moved the stove forward 50mm
. The back part of the sheet will be fixed down tomorrow roughly where is . Ill make a sliding bench top that can slide over the top of the stove when not in use.
I reduced the width of the sheet by 10mm to give me room for a 12 mm ply bulk head on the left hand side . Ill make that up during the week and epoxy it in place.

The piece of wood in front of the stove will be replaced with a some stainless steel tube probally with wooden blocks either end and Ill hold it together with some all thread

Wired in my ST2000 and took the boat for some circle work in the marina to calibrate it seems to work fine . Had not had it out of its box since I bought the boat.
I have to dissemble my alternator as it does not have a W wire for a Tacho sensor unfortunately . I have to solder a wire on to one of the fields windings

Now that you have a brand new hose and end fittings you should wrap the end fittings with denso tape to stop them rusting out like the old ones.

Well bugger me, not literally.
I washed the sheets and bed linen. The head no longer has 'that sort of smell' . I cleaned the holding tank pump. I abused the boatie in the next berth for being a worthless so and so because he didn't like me running my motor to charge my batteries. Apparently he had no experience with dealing with north Queenslanders and fled to the safety of his cabin. I might be hearing from the marina manager in the morning but seriously, If you come on with strong language I would think you would be able to back it and not go and hide in your cabin like some pussy fxxxxx wimp.

Can't you charge off shore power? I don't blame him - I find it annoying in a marina too, when someone runs a motor for hours.

Did a rough cut out to see a working template for my stove bench top tonight out of some packing ply

Have to make a channel so the bench top

piece over the stove can be slide back out of the way when the stove is working

I intend to make a crockery tidy behind the stove sink area similar the the one below

Hi HG

What do you intend to use the space under the bench top behind the stove for and is there a reason why you can't sit the tank in there below bench level

Regards Don

Mainly as its a flammable liquid Id rather have not else where Donk .
The taylor stove manual I have statew the fuel tank can be fitted ideally up to 5 meters away.
The bench top above the stove will slide behind and down so that area is difficult to untilize. The other this is I still have to top the tank with kero so it need to be in a easy location and to me there is nothing wrong with fitting it on the other side of the cabin and running the fuel line either over the top of the cabin or under via the bilge . Ill fit two turn off taps one either side so once the fuel fill the fuel line and I make sure it never runs dry should be OK.
If it turns out to be a problem Ill fit a pump and regulator @ 10 psi to prime the line.

Ill take it down to the boat see if theres room Donk I want the area behind where the cupboard was for crockery but thinking about it cups could be behind the tank with out interference perhaps

Does any one think there maybe a safety issue with having the Kero tank close to the stove

Dish tidy Id like to make full width , behind the stove, so perhaps there would be room available Donk . I could make it to fit cups behind the tank so removing them would be ok. So Cups to the left dishes to the right when I make the dish tidy.
Ive seen and use a a few metho stoves with the tanks fitted to the stove and Kero is not as volatile.
