I tied a Surfaid blue legrope string round my wrist a few months ago. All the money ($5) from these go towards getting malaria injections and medical help to kiddies in the indo archepeligoes, mentawia's etc.

Since i've been wearing it, I look at it and play with it and it makes me feel good, a kind of good karma feeling.

My wife and elsdest son have powerbands and say the feel better as well.

The mind is a powerful tool, I did the tests with and without the powerband and after the 1st time without the band was the only time I was pushed off ballance. the other test the person had me do was a shoulder rotation with and without the band, of course my rotation increased as i warmed up.

i guess if you beleive in whatever it is, it will have an affect, me I like my surfaid string as it helps others, not just me and that makes me feel good

Where did you get them? I had some and they were the strongest leggie strings Ive found so far. I had 5 but I have seemed to have lost them

My litlle boy has a hologram on the front of his lunch box, and he rekons the sandwiches taste better
My credit card also has a hologram which helps me balance on the poverty line...LOL

I also did hear someone ask at a demo, if you wear it all of the time, does it loose its effectivness?? to which there was no answer

BTW have not tried it...each to their own.

To all the sceptics, rather than trying to look tough on the forum being sarcastic. Go try it. I don't care whether it works for you or not. I like it and wear it, everyone i've shown it to has noticed a difference, some of the worlds best sportman/women wear it religiously (some even wear two like shakeal oniell). But don't judge it til you've tried it.

Go through youtube, see the testimonials. I'd like to hear you tell Da Hui their full of Shiz!

JB

But most of the best sportsmen and women in the world don't!

were just havin laugh - if you reckon it works good on ya.

Ya gonna **** yourself if you lose it - better leave it near your rabbits foot

You should get a friend to do a blind test, and one session (sorry, can't call it a surf ) get them to slip the thing in a wetsuit/leggie key pocket etc and another session get them to slip a placebo in. Do a few sessions with each, record your impressions, and see if you can pick the difference.

I bought some in Bali a year ago.

Stuck one on my 13 yo dogs collar. Shes got bad arthritis, was real bad when we come back from Bali, hence we tried it on her collar.

She's now 14 yo, still runs up and down the back steps, and runs crazy down the beach. She don't know anything about power balance or religion.

I dont want to take it off her collar.

I also wear one, and never fall off my SUP. Yeah right.

Even worse than getting ripped off by a snake-oil salesman is getting ripped off by a Balinese rip-off of snake oil . At least it (hopefully) didn't cost you as much.

Well I've only had it on an hour and got a result , I got a white one so it stands out and people ask me about it. My mother in law just rocked up (she is baby sitting the kids) her first comment was "have you got one of those bloody balance things what do you think of them." I told her I just put it on , she said you could have had mine , she couldn't walk with on. Seriously she couldn't walk down the hallway with it on. So she rang the people where she bought it from (on TV) and they refunded her money ($67 including postage) no questions asked and let her keep it.......

So obviously there is something in them.........and BTW I never did the test on purpose I'm just waiting for it to do it's thang. I'll see how it goes tonight out on the town hopefully I might bump into other PB wearer's.

No legion, they were a coupla bucks per hologram sticker over in Bali last year, worth every cent to see my old mutt run around like a pup! Cheaper than snake oil, which you could also buy .....

A Lesion is a problem especially in your head. I thought SUP was an organised religion for the converted to meet at the curve in a wave. My replacement silicon P B
(last neoprene one wore out and was warranteed) seems to keep reminding me of the best summer ov wave collecting I could handle.
Like most of you I'm obsessed with water sports and amazed at the legion of sheeple who limit their lives with small..
Would rather believe in my capabilities and use any reasonably safe enhancement than any 2000yr old tale from the ARABian nights.
Go big or go home.

Did the test at the bells contest. Pretty simple what they do. when pulling down they firstly also pull you away from your centre of gravity then when you have it they pull towards your centre of gravity. Called the guy on it and he got pretty flustered.

Thats funny cos I don't know the tricks to the tests and they still all work on everyone bar a friends pregnant wife! Weird.

I'm still a sceptic, I need to see the cogs turning etc. I've posted this before but they claim that your body works on some
kind of mhz/kwz/gigawatts/electrons or some crap. Apparently most people operate at about 5mhz and when they put on the
PB Band then this mhz jumps up tp around 7mhz. So either it's all bu11$H!T or they should be able to show actual test results.

Until I see this I will always be a sceptic, but I will continue to wear my band anyway. My back feels great!

Note: the mhz I'm using are just letters. I can't remember the actual abreviation they were using.

The actual measurement unit they use is called the Gbz, and it goes much higher on those that wear these I think it stands for gullibles per second.

Like I said earlier, it's sad to read some of your posts. Some of you remind me of the students in this:

and this:

and this:

It shows that if you believe enough, anything's possible. You can knock yourself out by the power of suggestion, or go flying like a twit. So magically performing 500% better or feeling no pain etc is a walk in the park by comparison. So gullible.

Sorry, I forgot this is the SUP forum where you're obliged to just say yes to everything. The subject of this thread annoys me, a bit like advocates of religion. I'll bet you could give any worthless widget to someone along with a bunch of pseudo-science buzzwords and they'd swear black and blue it helped them. Like Brocky's polarizer, as previously mentioned. The thing that almost ruined his reputation.

I do like that picture though, that's awesome.
