Tom tate sounds like rhyming slang for something else.

Surfers yesterday fined $170 a session for a surf at the wedge ( National Park controlled beach near Hobart ) . Not sure who issued the fine - police or national Parks rangers .

Great in small surf

Waiting......

On the wave, from my sailing background I tend to push the wrong footpedal to steer.
I went right when left would have been better.

And the ama explodes

just reading that on the surfing tas site .

had the police ring us today asking why we were at our beach shack - told them we had been here for a month - so all good .
nice to know they are backing up the warnings on the radio though

Good hoax - made it onto the surfing tas site

and yep the police are very serious about the stay at home over Easter - all the traffic on the coast road being pulled over and questioned as to where they are going , all beach shacks up here being checked out to see who is around .
probably a good thing

Our Premier in Victoria (Danial Andrews) has said that people with two principal places of residence may travel between them provided they comply with social distancing and other regulations at both locations. Travel between the two is not breaking the law in Victoria.
Not withstanding that, I have lived here for periods of up to 4 years. I am a ratepayer in the shire. This time I have been here for three weeks, and have no plans to leave in the foreseeable (or unforeseeable) future. I have not even been to the supermarket.
And at the moment I am allowed to go to the beach to exercise. I don't get in a car, cross a road, or see anyone.

Laws a bit different here - but basically with a few exceptions the residence you were at midnight Monday the 23rd of March is where you are supposed to reside for 4 weeks - from the mouth of the policewoman yesterday .
lucky for us on that date we were at our beach house
