Will never have a hope of taking the crown from macs head.
This is what happens when you sit at home bored and resting with too much time to think.

Anyway back on topic.

hey Ron what do the chines do to the way the board goes and the heavy concave.is it something to do with the chines creating bite for the high amount of lift from the heavy concave???? really like the plan shape of the one with the more pulled in nose, will that be a single fin, looks nice

Differentiation is the key mac Reminds me of the law of large numbers so this means either 1. You were not that pissed last night or 2. You are back on it tonight

Just got to have a good bo peep at the new knife to know there's a lot of big love that goes into each & every single girl that goes through the shaping room , they're damn near perfect - the Duck will make sure you have the stick to suit you brother Mac .... and you'll get a centre fin to die for

shaping is all done....I hope to get a side on it tomorrow....with some fiberglass trickery I will enhance the peak of the chine forming blades on the rail... I wont do that until I get both sides glassed, so be patient... I can only work on her in between other jobs so this may take a bit...should be able to surf it finless....and experiment with fin size

Wow that is one lovely looking shape RG. Would love to see it in the flesh one day. I hope SP orders one. Keep up the great work n posts.

G,Day Mac, that's almost a "how long is a piece of string" question...need to know so much more...its the criteria thing again...your weight and must paddle'... are not enough...off the cuff and what I've seen of your boards and where you surf most... I'm thinking a 9'6" flashpoint....if you are serious pm me we can sort it

Hi Ricardo,
it is the chine that lets me use a moderate concave...I always found the straight single concave to suck onto the surface and not want to roll up onto its rail to enable you turn....ok when going slow but when it started to max out it became very sticky...I have found the chine lets the board roll up on its rail very easy...it does wash off a bit of speed but its a very good trade off....and it loves a wide tail....great for all the fish and fun board designs....this thread is getting a little off track....sp asked for a shot of a Bunker and here we go ....the pulled in nose one you mentioned is the "knife" and it is what this thread is all about....yes it will be a single fin but it will have some detailed work done to the bottom which you will see as we get further along...think of channels on the outside....or reverse channels as Pup said to me...should get some pics up tomorrow night , cheers
