Great week here. The boys at the surf shop say it's the best it's been in 3 years.
took the 666 out in double over head first time ever wanted to see how it would go.
well it was like Riding a wild bull, very funny.
Day before i got smashed, then the 666 got smashed 
its in for a few repairs now
found out it was 8-10 at home break

Ted hope I haven't mislead , i call double overhead, 6' surf feet = 12'std Feet. Might be called double head elsewhere.
Anyhow Ted let's say,I have a new respect for blokes going out on them in bigger surf.
so funny, doing a bottom turn and having the toes on the rail digging hard,
also paddling up a steep face with a offshore up your arse,, going over the lip, then coming down With 3 foot of air under you

Fun waves today although heaps smaller than I & probably many others expected judging by the crowds. I did end up taking the cam down but set up the soloshot wrong & missed the first 2 hours. Uploading a few waves from the last hour & according to vimeo it will be ready to roll in 3 or 4 days lol
Last hour from yesterday, after I changed battery & set the soloshot up right...unfortunately swell dropped & tide came up 
Still fun though 
Big, clean n hollow here today 18 second period. Some good sized chunks to make or ruin your day

Did you give the 6'10 a run...there is a 7'6 Outer Island for sale just down the road from me but I have no chance as I just spent all my money on some new blanks

Got some longboarding footage today though, it'll be up in like 210 minutes...beautiful fun day today with only one other mate out until the end

No that was the two Mal's & Rachel...Pup usually surfs a different break, but I doubt he would have surfed yesterday. It was infested with 666's

Sounds pretty cool, I'll bet he got some great footage before that Snapper contest. Look forward to seeing it
135 mins until short longboard vid...it was just over 6 mins of newby longboarding, but I'd wanted to use this music for a long time. So I cut the vid down to like 2.5 mins of newby longboarding. I was trying real hard to noseride today. The bloke I consider to be the best local noserider came out just as I was leaving. I bought the same board trying to immitate him knowing what was possible on the board. Kicking myself for not sticking around to grab video of him now, but I was really hungry. I kinda have an idea of what I'm doing wrong now...basically my stance, timing & lack of cross stepping. It amazes me how easy people make it look.

Pumping again here today but still big tides and wind came up a bit just after lunch. Got a few beatings again but still smiling

glad you boys been getting some. Here is one of my Spanish mate from a few days back when every second wave broke like this for most of the day. Incredible session that one. Will not be forgotten in a long long time.

yeah that is a weird set of posts. I agree with your earlier comment re the size - but sometimes when you walking up the stairs after a hard day you can not be bothered waiting for the big set to take a pic.
