Surfed Newcastle main beach off shark alley for 2 hours this morning. Solid 4 foot sets were sick. No longboards out just a couple short boards so i had my pick. Problem was with so many not surfing there was a fair crowd watching so had to make sure there was no kookslams.
Just went into town for a cruise,bit of swell around,not very good the wind is on it,going tomoz"early"
Good waves on cent coast today and swell hanging in for tomorrow rode 3 different boards in 3 surfs and had a ball on them all
Got some good ones. A bit of size. It was at a wave I haven't surfed for ten or twelve years. I should get out there more often.
Had 2 surfs in town yesterday,water is finally a lot cleaner,fish jumping,dolphins playing and a big manta ray gliding.Great day with 3 to 4 footers

Good size swell today after a blowy Sunday. Didn't rush down, kinda expected a large crowd, hungover ocean & although light. Little bit of devil wind early...soz got down at 10 to a chockers carpark just as a lot of unfamiliar faces were heading in & within an hour of getting out there I was only surfing with 4 people. Sat out the back waiting for the sets on the Germ wishing I had a bit more length & although it had apparently cleaned up a lot. It was still pretty unsettled making sets peak all over the shop. Had a fair few waves in 3 hours but only 4 that were really good down the line nice walls. Others were shutting down through the middle or had no wall other than the first peak...expecting it to drop about 1/2 size tomorrow, but should be a lot cleaner & fun on the longboard. Will be my last waves for 3 weeks till I get back from Japan so gonna make the most of it...boys & girls will probably score great waves through April by the looks. Turning out to be a great year
ON dayshift all week so I've only got Thursday off. Hoping for something then. Up in Sydney all weekend so never got out. Great pic there Drip . Thats looks nice.
Arrived down the beach early & was told it was only knee to waist height. Talked a mate into coming out & had an hour of waist to shoulder height waves to ourselves before a few other crew came out. Fun day on the longboard
