The misery continues here. Heaps of rain and dirty water and northeast slop. The weather forecast says more of the same.

Had some good waves here lately, some good size ones today after work. Had a great time on the psychedelic germ, decided I'm selling one of my other short boards coz the germ is just too good

Finally got out there. But the banks are no good now. Waist high waves that break out the back then go fat to non existent then a reform close out. Might go and have another look at high tide . there might be an OK bank in close further up the beach. Someone got bitten by a shark out there yesterday arvo. Nothing too serious but there was a few news crews down there.

Heh Cobra .. some of it is painting, where people write a message on the rock ... family messages mostly, but in this case you are right, a lot in the background is rubbish on the rocks washed / blown in by the sea and storms is what you are seeing. It is being cleaned up which is cool
Away from the main beach, I ran along my "home" beach (5-10 minutes south) and over the 4km stretch south I ran (8km return), the rubbish was sad .. buckets, fridge, many many bottles, plastic bags, unrecognisable trash, even a pop up gazebo was washed up onto the high water mark, not to mention the large amount of milled treated timber. Was a bit disturbing really. I did spend 10 minutes at the end of the run and filled 4 shopping bags of rubbish, but the impact was not that great.
Our oceans are precious and these "weather events" only go to add more as we are not careful enough with waste that washes into the systems that feed the oceans......
Oops sorry crew started to rant..this is where did you surf ..my bad ... I did not surf today

Got down there today and it was sunny, very little wind but tiny waves. Paddled up the beach and around the headland with sweat pouring out of me with the relentless humidity. Got back in the corner with 3 other guys on 666's and picked off a few nice little rights and lefts. They were all on 8 and 9 foot barges but I had a huge advantage on the 11 footer. Love that board and it's still good in the bigger stuff as well. Got a few days of southerly winds heading our way so hoping for some waves over the next few days. The water is finally clearing after all the rain we had. That pic looks like a war zone Climber . Plenty of sand missing too by the look of it.

Just had a look on my way home from night shift. Pretty small but there seems to be some banks on some other beaches near home. The swell is supposed to pick up today so I'll have a look around lunch time.

Got a nice surprise , an offshore greeting couldn't get out there quick enough - nothing extra-ordinary but bloody nice to bag a few before the wind went back onshore
