hard to know whats going on. the surf was suppose to be still sizey. no sure whether he pulled a knee or heart muscle.

You poor barstard, I did the same, miniscus tear to my right knee on the inner side...still plays up 23 years later, gotta make sure you step down onto the left leg when stepping down off higher heights

I had a grade 2 miniscus tear earlier this year in my right knee (back leg surfing). Surfing 3 weeks later with mild pain and although aches for about a month after that, 100% after 3 months.
Get out out there mate !

I had an hour long, one leg massage fk it hurt, in a brace and heaps of cream, hoping for a speedy recovery.
Surfed last Sunday with it, all was well until I twisted it and ouch it hurt, called it a day.

did that myself a month and a half ago doing a closeout on the bubblebee low tide. got away with it alright considering ive done it to the same knee 4 times now . twice on 666 surf sups trying to save a fall. doh.
not a lot of pain this time, but the knee is still stiff.
I think every surfer get these type of injuries.
as sa said work hard and get back into it.
youll adapt and its not that hard going on a mal.

Thanks smh me too these laying around all day days drive me nuts.
No good Mac hope it heals up have you had mri on it.i had arthroscopy on both knees for meniscus tears quick op and quick recovery. Can't imagine massage doing much for it except pain.good luck mate

No MRI, we are hoping another week to see a big improvement if not thats the next step.
The massage was to free up the rest of the leg as its gone into lock down mode, helped for
that he didn't touch the knee.

Oh I didn't read that, yes looks like a nice day for it again.
Surfed a small reef break with a few mates this morning, it was bloody cold, waves were small and clean a little inconsistent but that just gave us all more time to banter
I am giving nose riding a crack on the new mal, really enjoyed trying to stall the board and cross step, got the hang of it a few times, keen to keep practising.

It was so cold..Surfed my local small knee to waist high. Really enjoyed small cheeky 5 type waves. Managed to pull into a close out doing a cheeky 5 and it felt much better than i guess it looked

rainbow changed sfter that swell. the only main take off is outside lm. like another 40 metres out. made for a crowded take off
Nice little surf with Lance beautiful morning almost almost almost like Spring weather
Sneaky surf before business ... Nothing exciting except I got back in the water after a business enforced break ... nice :)
