A pretty quick Google search shows wide ranging criticism of Ocearch's methodology, outcomes and intentions. I've watched the show and they appear (to me) to be a bunch of cowboys. It appears the scientific and conservation community agrees. Chumming the hell out of the water in reserve areas, invasively dealing with the sharks to a point that they either die or are seriously maimed doesn't seem like very ethical scientific practice to me?! From my knowledge (ignore the ignorant, hysterical annecdotal reports), its pretty damned hard to find a Great White out in the deep blue, let alone get one to the boat, and tag it in an ethical manner.

Sick waves early this morning, a bit of size, bowly, punchy with and end section that was jsut asking for it....so I obliged!

Was almost like a winter session, best way to start a day!

Where did that come from this morning? Took an eight footer and a nine four thinking it was gonna be tiny. Got a few in before the wind anyway.

Yeah was one of those little pulses that you take a punt on, I had the shorty in the car but took the mal after seeing a nice 'smaller' one that I thought was the run of the mill for the swell. Still got a few nice ones but would have been good to change it up and get on the shorty - never enough time for that on the pre-work sessions!

Wind came in as was getting changed to go to work..the perfect crime..

Yep was a nice surprise for sure. Very rippy though. But I no complain.

Lotsa crew out this morning... popular spots were busy. Those with skill were making some nice peaks at Perth's busiest beach - the rest were either bailing the take-off or getting smashed...
