Well..no surprise...sandtrax to Cott was 5hit house this morning.
Back to studying then...was so hoping for a blue sky sunny surf.
off shore island on friday arvo
sneak over for a few quiet waves
haha
couldnt even drop the pick in the sand patch, busier that the freeway north at 330
6 boats across the way at radar
sad days indeed
Checked out Cott and Trigg...only for the super keen and the die hard.
The water wasn't terribly rough at Coves but the wind was unbelievable.
I was tempted to go in this arvo at Coves, because the waves were actually fairly clean and only one guy out. It's just the wind that put me off and the memory of breaking my good board there in 5hitty conditions
Don't wanna do that again...running out of them
Cott looked like fun this arvo, but hard work. Leighton was breaking out in line with the artificial reef way further south. Haven't seen that ever. Only wind waves but pretty sizey.
There was a High School surf comp at Trigg this morning, mums dropping kids off in the howling winds a bit after 7 not looking too impressed to be there.
I didn't see one smile on the kids faces either. Don't understand that, who doesn't like a surf before school?
Little sooks.
I'd be dying to go in if I had a bunch of mates with me. Fun times guaranteed...especially if there were girls there.
It was quite simply, the BEST waves I've seen in Perth in over twenty years. Nor'westers are the key to many a sneaky peak along our coast. And they've been at their best since the late '80's this winter.
The story that is linked to by that story is the mega-secret spot that I occasionally visit and have got some good waves at this winter.
Anyone out this morning?
Slept through my alarm. Desperately needed a pre-uni surf but alas it was not to be.
Tell me it was nothing but mush, boogers and goat boaters.
Who needs glassy waves anyway? I'm having heaps of fun sitting here finding the inverse of a 3x3 matrix.
