A Pure Blonde Suba....sorry it had to be said!

Best winter I can remember in a while, whoever runs the show upstairs is sticking it up the haters claiming the weather has changed forever and that we would never get a "winter like we used to"

Agreed, I havnt seen storms like these for a while.

Hey suba, Im on for a sure thing tonight. Are you

Seeing as though my suspicion is:

- Suba and Doggie are the same person; or
- Suba and Doggie are in love; or
- maybe both,

I am sure it is a sure thing tonight for both of you ....

Lol, I think its both

yep sad, we dont really bother there any more, shame - had some special days.

the frustration of rounding that point and seeing the number of boats on the sand bank (on a week day!!), or watching the cavalry steam toward you, while in the lineup is starting to out weigh the effort.

bloody Rotto. I've given up on rotto. too crowded and hard for an average surfer like me to sneak a wave away from the pack at strickos. The general ability of those guys is usually really excellent.

Checked out Cott and Trigg...only for the super keen and the die hard.
The water wasn't terribly rough at Coves but the wind was unbelievable.

Watched a guy paddle out yesterday at Scabs infront of the flag, jeez he copped a few beltings trying to get out. Didnt stay to see him get a wave tho as I dont think he would have. Some of the worst conditions Ive seen for a while.
One guy out at Toms and getting not bad waves.
Two surfers in the water in that streach, ah the solitude

I was tempted to go in this arvo at Coves, because the waves were actually fairly clean and only one guy out. It's just the wind that put me off and the memory of breaking my good board there in 5hitty conditions

Don't wanna do that again...running out of them

Cott looked like fun this arvo, but hard work. Leighton was breaking out in line with the artificial reef way further south. Haven't seen that ever. Only wind waves but pretty sizey.

There was a High School surf comp at Trigg this morning, mums dropping kids off in the howling winds a bit after 7 not looking too impressed to be there.

I didn't see one smile on the kids faces either. Don't understand that, who doesn't like a surf before school?

Little sooks.
I'd be dying to go in if I had a bunch of mates with me. Fun times guaranteed...especially if there were girls there.

I gave up on Rotto years ago, just not worth it anymore.

Sad in a way because I've had some epic sessions there, but the days of heading over at twilight and being the first in at sunrise are well and truly over.

It was quite simply, the BEST waves I've seen in Perth in over twenty years. Nor'westers are the key to many a sneaky peak along our coast. And they've been at their best since the late '80's this winter.

This morning was JOY! Three hours with 3-4 crew in the water and shacked every single wave. Only made two but had lots of tunnel vision.

You'll see why I was too busy to take pics....

The story that is linked to by that story is the mega-secret spot that I occasionally visit and have got some good waves at this winter.

Anyone out this morning?
Slept through my alarm. Desperately needed a pre-uni surf but alas it was not to be.

Tell me it was nothing but mush, boogers and goat boaters.

Who needs glassy waves anyway? I'm having heaps of fun sitting here finding the inverse of a 3x3 matrix.

You're in first year?

Anyway, you didn't miss anything. I snuck in a quick session at "tearooms" and it pretty much sucked. Way too small and too windy from the wrong direction. And yet, relatively crowded. The super early was the go, before the wind came and the swell dropped.
