Nah, dudded by the weather again. It started to build and was over 10kn at lunchtime then dropped out.
Looking good Adam, now the challenge is to hit gumtree and fill it to the brim with gear like Brad has with his.
The start of building a trailer for my windsurfing gear as I have no shed now
Make the trailer big. Big = more gear
The trailer was 7 b 5 and I am making it 1200 High and extending the length to suit the nose of the boards hopefully I can fit 4 boards and all my gear making racks for the middle
This is a rough guide
Goodness me Sandstone kids ............ look at the long range forecast, make sure your leave passes are in order and all brownie points are cashed in for this weekend ............... good tides too, the sailing gods are smiling
Don't forget to take lots of pics on the weekend.
Im at eight mile plains caravan park till the weekend and then 10 days in a huge mansion in bulimba on the river. A domestic dichotomy
My sailing gear is stored and my schedule is set so I'm looking forward to the report. No sailing for me for a while yet.
Sounds like a plan. I have planted the seed that the family should have a day at bribie. A couple of new bits and pieces to try too.
I have already got permission from the boss. keen to head out and get back in to it. Paddles i know i will see you there.
Yep, it's been too long Pete, be good to catch up. Shoulder seems to be ok now, just a bit of an ache from bursitis and foot is all healed, keen to get back into a bit of sailing now. Sailed Beachmere the other weekend but haven't sailed much this winter so far.
Well it was a lovely day at the beach, but the wind just didn't come to the party. Around 10 knots at 10:30 and it just went down from there before starting to kick slightly at 2pm when we were leaving. Good fun having a cruise around the place with Tony and Brad on their longboards, me on the big Express and Steve struggling on the old Bic, all of us rigged as big as we could.
So is there going to be enough northerly on Wednesday to sail Turner's? Who's living in hope like me?
Depends on how early I can get home from work on Wednesday
Have thu fri off. Maybe a little gentle SE sail on Friday to celebrate my 60th - pensioner age
Cheers Jeff
I'll join you for that Friday sail Jeff. Wednesday isn't looking as good in the forecast now.
Great. I'll bring birthday cake and party hats
Ok Sandstone kids, Adam and I are keeping an eye on the northerly tomorrow arvo for a sail at Turner's Camp if anyone's keen to join us. High tide is mid afternoon so hopefully a bit of a seabreeze will build.

I might go for a ride in the morning then head out to have a look.
it's not looking good, nice cycling conditions this morning with no wind but even though it's swung north there isn't much of it yet
Gawd, it's been a disappointing week for wind so far, even todays forecast ended up being a dud. Hopefully sunday will be the saviour of our sanity. Tides are rubbish though, it'll either have to be a very late afternoon or early morning at Sandstone or mid to late morning at South Esplanade on the outgoing tide into the wind.
